I honestly loved this movie a lot It gave me shocks and made me feel different emotions that usually anime movies are unable to Also I’m glad to say that I was so hooked into this movie that I understood the entire plot in one go

I’m totally with you, finally someone that feels the same. This movie is a journey, and you need to be open for the experience and to have your emotions and feelings plyed around as the plot advances, and aware of what and how the movie wants to tell you. I understood it, and i found it one of the best movies i’ve ever seen.

I found this movie to be very interesting, I love movies that are quite unique which this storyline is. Also loved the Deer King as well which seems to be overlooked as well.

I’ve watched all these types of anime movies and this one was the one most cited for me, it made me break so badly, I love the theme they developed. It’s a 10/10 for me ngl

This reminds me of Tenshi No Tamago. You have to decide what you get out of the movie.

@@nemsreviews I watched a review of Tenshi no Tamago. But I agree that Maboroshi and that movie are ones where you decide what the message is. There is no clear cut message for everybody.

I agree with much of what you've said. I think the weakest part of the movie is the pacing and plot. It meanders a bit and while it almost feels intentional that it does that, I also wish it took a slightly more straightforward approach. That being said, I absolutely loved the overall concept and theme of the movie that I think hits harder if you're older. Naturally, our response to hardship in our lives is to be envious of the past, to pine for a simpler nostalgic time where we didn't have to deal with the loss of others or the stress of reality. The movie takes this and flips it and presents the idea that if this nostalgic illusionary dream world was an actual world with people in it, majority of them would actually be envious of reality -- of us. They're stuck in a situation where they cannot change. Trapped in a specific period of time, at a specific location, and aren't allowed to feel emotions or change. Whereas, even though reality can be difficult and painful -- we all still have the freedom to change ourselves and venture out and see whatever we want to see. The overall theme of appreciating that you live in the present in reality is so good, especially if you're in a tough spot in life. However, it feels like the film doesn't focus on this concept as much as it should.

bro why do u have so less subs and views for such a high quality video. Great video , i just finished the movie and i have a theory for the ending. Itsumi who went in the train proceeded on to reunite with older masamune and atsumi and continued living their lives. On the other hand, the last scene also shows atsumi biting masamune and him telling her that it pains and also the fact that atsumi heard a baby's faint cry in the distance most probably indicating that the woman who was pregnant throughout the movie has given birth. Both these events show that time has been restored back to normal in their world along with all its physics. So i think masamune and atsumi will continue to age in that world, which has become a new timeline and will live happily together ever after (and will be able to go out of mifuse too).

honestly had no idea what i watching near the beginning, but after a few plot lines dropped i started to put together the puzzle pieces and found the plot pretty interesting but the pacing isnt bad but it could be better. but i quite like this movie.

What if we made the girl, who breaks the world when she experiences heartbreak, who has been kept isolated so she doesn't fall in love with boys, have a breakdown seeing her dad sloppy style her mom?

I got bored with the story halfway through and the unnecessary love triangle was just boring to me I had to look for videos to just help me understand the plot 💀 anyways i loved the animation beautiful! But the anime just wasn't for me keep up the amazing videos!
