I got one today. I think they changed the design and the fins at the outlet are no more. Brilliant little thing.

it does make a different removing those fins because it backs up too easily otherwise from experience, probably realised and updated the design.

Bought one of these second hand really impressed. Yes it's a bit dangerous you should wear full face protection really 😮 still amazing what it can do.

What about freshly cut branches, be a bit of a mess in the garden to have to wait.

I have one and would love to know how to change the blades

Wondered why you cut that first piece from the pile in half .Just borrowed my sons new one and the two thing it didn't like were L shaped pieces and small lengths which rattled around . If a piece enters the cutter sideways ( L shape or short length ) it's wider than the 45mm max and can/will jam the cutter . Twigged this (no pun intended ) after several blockages in fairly quick succession . I was chippng a massive Buddleia and found the best thing was to sort the branches into a pile of straightish lengths with side branches , root gnarls and bends lopped off. After that it was happily munching 7ft lengths no problem.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I have used this machine alot and one thing I can say is that there's a few things to learn but once you know it's all good.

I got one and it jammed because i tried using a branch that was slightly too big for it and now i cant get it working again. Ive tried redetting it, ive opened the lid and and theres nothing blocking it. What can u do to get it to start up again? I press on and it just cuts out after 1 second
@DanielJohnHowTo5 ай бұрын
could be thermal cut-out, if it's hot
@No.Handle312 жыл бұрын
It's a machine not bad for the money kicks back a bit with lager sticks. And you do have to stop to unjam the blade and the hood.
@DanielJohnHowTo2 жыл бұрын
pretty much, just have to be careful when using it I wear gloves/eye protection and stand well back.
@Bananaskin1012 жыл бұрын
have you tried cardboard in it, for composting?
@DanielJohnHowTo2 жыл бұрын
the way the blade works it's not really suitable for that type of material it's better chopping small bits off solid items for example sticks.
@darren_adv2 жыл бұрын
Hi, have you used this with wet material, i.e. it rained here yesterday, not sure if we can use the machine until material is completely dry.
@DanielJohnHowTo2 жыл бұрын
branches with moisture content in them yes, not soaking basically this thing chips bits off so it's best to leave it to dry if you can really
@VeeBee812 жыл бұрын
Do you think it would chop paper?

no it's the wrong tool for the job get a paper shredder

A heavier duty mower run over the waste is much faster and, given you also get a mower into the bargain, cheaper.

Oh boy this machine is not safe in my opinion, it's spitting out more debris on the top than the bottom. It will say use eye protection but I think it should say use a motorbike helmet instead. With no disrespect to you, I love your enthusiasm in trying to promote this machine as being useful so hats off to you gentleman.
@DanielJohnHowTo3 жыл бұрын
yeah you need to be careful with this machine, i have shredded a huge pile of branches so it does work but wear gloves and eye protection and stand back if you ask me.
