I have a lot of expensive lipsticks and it’s hard to remove the stain. I found that Ponds the old-fashioned, cold cream, make- up remover works excellent on removing lipstick stain and make-up. I was really surprised with the old fashion cold cream ponds. It’s also gentle on the lips helps moisturize the skin.

Oh, and I realized after that the Retro Mattes are still available in 7 shades. Some people were disappointed the formula changed. I'm not because this one is more comfortable but I totally understand there's a place for very matte formulas.

I knew Ruby Woo would be your vibe !! Love that one on you and most of them are awesome on you....with Ruby Woo maybe add thin black eyeliner for a classic look would be gorgeous on you ! You could tone down the very bright neon colored one witb gloss and make it look so good on you because i think bright corals look great on you since to me you look like a golden complextion...do you like wearing real bright neon pinks ? Would look great i think. And the mauve lipsticks make your eye color look awesome too.

Thank you! That's a great suggestion with the darker liner. I need to try that. I feel like my tastes are changing these days. I was surprised how much I liked some of the colours. I usually choose mauve toned shades but this lipstick swatch session made me love some colours that I'm not used to. I love red so much. It's a higher maintenance shade so I don't wear it as often but it's one of my favourite colours to wear.

I like Candy Yum Yum but it's definitely more tricky to pull off. Neons somehow go w my cool green eyes and dark hair but I need to be really careful with my base being very fair. What I found working IMO is being strategic w contour, bronzer and highlighter to counteract the colours washing me out

@@JulieMeikle hi Julie! Everything went great was looked after very well in Istanbul. I caught a cold the day after surgeries and then got a chest infection which kicked my asthma off!. We stayed in a cottage after returning home as our neighbours have noisy dogs and are always doing something, we have to move somehow!. Had great peaceful time very tranquil and secluded in nature. Feeling a lot better slowly but surely and eyes and nose looking great!. 😊 x I hope you’re well?. Will e-mail when healing is mostly complete but for nose it’s upto a year for full results x🙏🥰

@@JulieMeikle yes thankfully not that!. Only aching was when I came around from anaesthetic I was very nauseous and deep aching in nose but got iv morphine and anti sickness. Fine after that though, looked a lot worse days 2-5 but wasn’t in pain though. Apartment was 5* and was amazing and the care of all staff and my ent surgeon was amazing. Will get my table photos in around a week, before and after they finished. Such a massive change and feel much more confident. Looking forward to being able to wear winged eyeliner too Julie!. Oh by the way, I know you love spray tan and I’ve just tried the new coco and Eve face and neck spray in red bottle and it’s fabulous!. I looked so pasty as obviously no make up just lippy!. You’re doing amazing julie and I’m glad you’re receiving far more pr packages! X🙏🥰

You're very welcome. This was so fun for me to do. I find MAC is changing for the better these days. For the longest time, I feel they became a little too comfortable. I love the new formula. The Connect in Colour eyeshadow palettes are beautiful and their new Serumizer is one of my favourite products to prep my skin. I swatched the old formula beside the new formula in my last livestream. I compared Ruby Woo, Twig & Twig Twist, Sin, Honeylove, and ....I can't remember the other ones. There's barely a difference when they're side by side but they glide on easier and feel more comfortable for sure. You know the black lipstick, the one you tried on last? You could use that color (just a touch of that) to mix in the other colors you thought were too pale or light. It would look so beautiful. Personally, I use a touch of very dark lipsticks to mix lipsticks that are too pale for me and the final outcome is so elegantly beautiful!

Great video! You’re so beautiful! You seem to have a peachy undertone like me . But I’m confused about my undertone. What color do you deem your undertone to be ? I’m a natural redhead and have the HARDEST time with lipstick colors . Always too orangey or magenta looking . Whirl looks good on me . Looks amazing on you ! But it looks darker on you than me . I’ve not tried the new formula. I find the original formula drying. But, whirl manages to look like my lips, but better if I apply at this right. I’m hoping the new formula is a little bit less drying. If it is, I’m going to splurge on a new one. I wish they had the mini version of whirl in the new formula. It takes me years to finish a lipstick because I dab it on and use such a tiny amount. Plus , I have small lips and love the smaller bullet size for precision. Anyway, thank you so much ❤

OOH, good question. I took a look on MAC's website It says that Stripdown is the perfect match. ABH - Deep Taupe - (soft beige brown) looks like it would be a good one too. You could try a liner that's a touch darker too. That would be cool! What lipliners do you already own?

I would say they're lightweight. They don't feel as waxy as the original. I'm not sure if "waxy" is the right description.🤷‍♀️

Is Cafe Mocha the same shade as Mocha from their satin lipstick line? I think they discontinued that shade since i cant find it in their website anymore. Please let me know! ❤

I have three old formula mac matte lipsticks, I like the shades, that vanilla smell and it doesn't dry my lips. The only thing that I quite dislike is that I feel them on my lips so much. What about these lipsticks?

It reminds me of Morticia on the Adams Family (dating myself)! I’m not sure that would look flattering on anyone! Halloween shade to be sure! That's a good question. I wouldn't say so, no. They're not as long lasting as their Retro Matte Formula or the new MAC Locked Kissed. That formula doesn't move.

I just checked, Sandra and they have Retro Matte. They have 7 shades. Ruby Woo, Relentlessly Red, Runaway Hit, Flat Out Fabulous, All Fired Up, Bronx, Dangerous. I'm glad I looked that up. Now I know too.
