Installing Manifold Mounts FD 1
On the upper flange of the center reel bracket, drill a 1/2" hole located 1-1/8" above the top of the reel arm and centered in the tab. (Fig.1)
Remove the roller and link brackets from the center mount arm assembly and fit over the reel arm.
Reassemble roller with flat washers between the reel arm and cylinder rod. Then loosely assemble the two links as removed. (Fig.2)
Slide the assembly rearward and secure to the finger reel bracket using the hardware provided.
Install the left Mount Arm assembly (without transition tube support) first.
Remove the link from the bottom of the bracket and fit the bracket over the reel arm. Reinstall link. (Fig.3)
Remove the bolt and spacer from beneath the finger reel bearing and fit the link over the spacer. Reinstall the spacer.
Install the right hand bracket in the same manner with the addition of fitting the roller between the reel arm and cylinder.
Insert the manifold arm with the elbow into the right hand (fan side) mount arm and secure in the rear most position with ½” bolt. (Fig.4)
Install the bare manifold arm into the left hand mount arm same as the right. (Fig.5)
Install the center pivot assembly into center mount arm. Center pivot will be installed in the most rearward position to line up with outside mount arms. Tighten bolt. (Fig.6)
Place the manifold marked elbow end into lock sleeve (Fig. 7) and then slide into center pivot clamp. There should remain approx. 1” of manifold shown on the inside of center pivot clamps. Do not tighten the center manifold clamps at this time. (Fig.6)
Place the end cap on the left hand manifold end. Install the upper saddle with bolts and spacers to allow free rotation. (Fig.9)
Check the manifold height and distance to the finger reel and adjust if required.
Place one foam gasket over nozzle inlet. Clamp nozzles to manifold with 8" U- bolt and 1/4" lock nuts. Keep nozzles in line. Some plastic fingers may need to be relocated or removed on reel. On right side (elbow end) header may be equipped with steel grain deflectors and need to be modified to avoid interference with air nozzles.
Rotate the right-hand manifold so that the nozzles sit approximately 3” down from reel bat pipe. (Fig.11).
Rotate the left manifold to align the nozzles to the right hand manifold. Tighten the manifold center pivot clamps securely. Fine adjustment can be made using slots in the upper links of the manifold clamps
Mark and drill a 3/8" hole in the manifold tube 3/4" from the bottom of the rear lock sleeve slot. (Fig.12). Fasten the lock sleeve bushing to the manifold with shoulder up, using 3/8x1” bolt and lock nut. (Fig.13)
Install the connecting hose and two 8.25 hose clamps over the ends of the two manifolds at the center of the header. (Fig.14)
Tighten the hose clamps on the connecting hose. (Fig, 14)
Wire actuator and fan actuator to kit instructions.
Air Transition Installation
Insert the air transition tube (with decal) into the rubber elbow on the right-hand end of the manifold and secure with 8.75 hose clamp. (Fig. 1)
Attach the transition tube support to the tube with 8" U-bolt. Transition tube is installed at factory to the right-hand mount arm.
Mark the location of the rear tube brackets. (Fig.2)

All rear brackets are measured from outside end plate of head.
Use the rear header tube bracket as a guide to drill two 21/64” holes for mounting with 3/8 x 1 self tapping bolts. (Fig.16)
Assemble rear tube by attaching pipes together with three self drilling screws. The 45” section of pipe should be towards the fan so air is not interrupted by flange.
Install the rear tube in the saddles and loosely install 8” U-bolts. (Fig.17)
With reel fully rearward, install 60” flex hose between transition tube and the rear tube. CUT TO FIT, NO KINKS. (Fig.18)
Install 30” piece of flex hose to connect fan to the rear tube. Secure with 8.25 hose clamps. Adjust the position of the rear tube and tighten the U-bolts (Fig.19)
