Makeup for me started with kajal, eyeliner and ended with lipstick. Anything else, foundation in particular was never my friend. Thank God you stick with just concealing the undereyes. This concept of making the undereyes brighter and lighter than the rest of the face, I've never understood. Why would anyone want to highlight undereyes. That's one area of the face almost everyone has imperfections on. If not dark circles, then bags, or puffiness or fine lines. Even 20 year olds do. Nobody can benefit from it. Unless you're standing under professional lighting and posing as a static model. Even then it will go they stages of airbrushing to remove the "defects" and make it look like porcelain.
