Just a heads up, Activision is now owned by Microsoft, so Apple would have to make a deal with Microsoft. I personally don't see that happening.

Very informative video. It would be great if Apple could integrate not only new games but old ones like the Microsoft games into its system for example AOC II and made them available to be played online as well. On the other hand this is a way to keep control of the market as games like the one mentioned are very popular and they are a key point when deciding between which of the two systems to buy. Because of globalization Apple and Microsoft could agree on a fee for Apple users that want to play classic games like that one online and keep the privileges of the current market of Microsoft gamers. Probably something residual or like the sale of a patch for Mac users. Apparently there are some multiple free ways on how to do it but very risky in terms of money and complicated technical processes too. Good video 👍

the best route is to build competitive games from ground designed for mac architecture supporting cross platform for one console e.g (playstation) i mean if that is possible at all, since Microsoft already has windows/xbox to its arsenal. An alliance with sony to bring cross platform to both devices on a handful of games i think would be a positive move for both parties.

Tbh apple just aint for gaming macs dont have enough ram and sometimes storage and games arent optimized for macs this make people not buy macs for gaming and theres nobody playing on mac so for most titles theres no reason to put a game on mac

They could pay a lot of money to get people to develop games for the Mac or save a lot of money by continuing to work on their game porting toolkit and work on integrating needed things for games to run on metal something like what Valve has been doing with proton that way they could get games easily ported to mac. and overall get gamers to use the Mac as they could easily run their Windows games on the Mac. The only issue is the price of the MacBooks for the same price to buy the base MacBook Air you could get a nice PC with more RAM and storage than the MacBook for the same price. If they could maybe upgrade the RAM for the base MacBook airs to be at least 16GB and add additional storage then gaming would become easier or maybe make the MacBook Airs cheaper that would also help out in getting more people on Mac and overall convince developers to spend some time to develop native Mac games.

Good work and I‘d agree. Apple Silicon could be an amazing gaming platform. I wish I could kick my PC into the bin where it belongs to and develope my Unreal Engine Apps on Mac only. The M3 Max is powerful enough even for high end gaming technologies but some of the key features like Nanite etc. are still not supported fully. Come on Apple and Epic Games… this childish fight has to find an end.

Windows on ARM has a really good chance in the gaming space tbh. Considering Microsoft owns a huge chunk of the gaming industry, including CoD and Bethesda. They can port their games to arm essentially whenever they want. Apple doesn’t have that luxury

@@Central_Production Me personally not the biggest fan but that's prob because I don't have work on computers. I think the best way for mac to get decent gaming is to pay steam to create a proton like software for mac and every steam game would be supported. Although mac prob won't be as popular because to locked to a type of hardware and isn't as flexible as Linux or windows.
