Dolphins fan here... man, I feel so bad for Mac Jones. You can say he's made a lot bad decisions, threw dumb INT's, etc.. but when you have no "weapons", suspect Oline and your grouchy head coach has no confidence in you, it's hard to go out there with a clear mind and produce. Worse thing that can happen to a player in any sport.. follow a legend. One thing I completely respected about Brady, like Marino and Kelly, was his FU mentally which was tough as nails. Not too many QBs today are like that and clearly Mac is not. We lived it here in Miami.. Brian Flores was no fan of Tua's and you can obviously see that Tua played with no confidence. Now, I'm not saying Tua is the next Montana, not even close, but with Mike McDaniel, Tua's confidence is through the roof and playing so much better. Like it or not, this new generation of players need positive reinforcement which is what Tua got and is now making Flores look inept. Captain Obvious says BB is a great coach but not so good as a GM. Bad draft pics and making a DC your OC says it all. Pats need a good young OC with innovative ideas, much like Mike McDaniel, who had no use for the always-injured Devante Parker and the one-trick pony Mike Gesicki, but yet were good enough for BB to view as starters for his young QB?

I have a true belief it’s not all Mac’s fault after watching almost every game he’s started in. I think the problem is instead of trying to hone in on his unique skills the coaches are trying to groom him into being another Tom brady. And when you’re not allowed to use your own play style and on top of it fans and the people who make you play like that are demanding answers and belittling you it wouldn’t be easy. He’s being annihilated for trying to fill shoes he doesn’t even wanna fill to begin with. The kid just wants to be his own quarterback give him a break. I genuinely believe under the right system that’s not a pressure cooker he could excel. If he breaks his habit of back foot throwing and gets away from this toxic system I’d love to see what he can accomplish

i feel for Mac.the Patriots seriously hurt his development.3 different offensive coordinators through 3 years.he really misses mcDaniels and he has crap to work with,crappy offensive line, bad running game,the worst receivers in football.you should keep him as a backup as they'll definately be going for a quarterback.can't believe it because he was awesome at Alabama!

I feel bad for Mac. Clearly I think he's cooked in NE (although benching him like Belichick did yesterday was a JOKE and an embarrassment), he deserves to finish the year. We ain't winning with Bailey Crappe...sorry Zappe. Belichick fucked up this young man's career by giving him zero O Line help, zero WR help. Belichick is stuck in the 1980s with his drafting and thinks defense alone can win you games.
