Was fortune enough to see him live back in 2013 at the Camden waterfront. Rained halfway through the show, caused some technical difficulty and couldn't get music to load. So Mac freestyled and did crowd control for like 10 minutes, was easily some of best crowd control I've ever seen there was roughly 20-30k at that show so to hold that down like that without any background or special effects was just a testament to how skilled of an artist he was

I was in Germany when I found out Mac died, the same day my friend tried to throw herself off a cliff, was talked down by emergency services but slipped on rocks and fell to her death. I will never forget that night in my hotel room, I balled my eyes out for the both of them, I don’t think I’ve ever felt that amount of pain before. RIP Kat & Mac.

Mac Miller has one of the most underrated flows of all time. The first time I listened to him was rapping over a People Under the Stairs beat and I was like who is this kid and why is PUTS opening for him and not the other way around? Then I listened to his albums and became an instant fan. Positive, carefree, fun loving energy, clever lyrics, dope beats and sick videos to boot. His musical talent transcends rap and at only 26, he was just scratching the surface. His musical evolution will remain a mystery. Get Up, Live Free, Of the Soul, and Donald Trump etc. will forever be in my heavy rotation. To be honest, I listened to "Swimming" a couple weeks ago at the pool and I found it sad. Maybe it just didn't go with sunny summer day. I delve into his lyrics and it sure reads like a cry for help. His songs inspire you to live in the moment, to have fun and to "get up." I played them on the way to the gym, pre-gaming or when I wanted to get pumped up. RIP Mac
