Mac, I come back to this album often. I have been through heartache I'm sure you can imagine. I just lost my oldest brother to stage IV cancer and it's made me feel dead inside. I remember finding out when you passed. I was in my college library. My friend texted me with the news. I thought he was joking, so I googled it for myself. He was not joking. I started to feel the volcano of emotion. I walked to the bathroom and entered the nearest stall. I cried harder than I have ever cried. I mourned for 3 days after I found out. I have only cried harder for my brother. Listening to your music makes me think of both of you. I love you, Nate. I love you, Mac.

I was fortunate enough to catch Mac in concert twice, once on his GO:OD AM tour and once on his Divine Feminine tour. I remember getting meet and greets the second time I saw him and as I was standing in line I thought for so long what I was gonna ask him or tell him (seeing how I was a fan of his since 7th grade). The venue tried making it where it was a super quick deal but Mac took time with everyone he met. When I finally got to meet him he asked me my name and where I was from and thanked me a ton for coming to his gig, and all I could tell him was “thank you for everything man” His music truly changed my outlook on life and I’m forever grateful for the small amount of time we talked. Rest in peace Malcom.

"I don't need nobody, i don't need to be nobody." I feel such pain in these words, i guess I'll elaborate. This whole song rings to me of abandonment. Abandonment of passion, of joy. Drugs and vacancy are now the fuel that propels him forward, and he could never run out. He's got money, he bought all the nice shit, and now it sits in his big ass driveway at his nice ass home and its all worthless to him. "Used to want to be a superhero, flying round with a cape catching bad guys". He wanted to be not only appreciated for what he has to offer, but wanted people to be grateful and maybe even depend on him, but he didn't realise how heavy it would be, he's stuck underwater and its regarding day to day life. He than carries on in to later say that he now spends all his time alone in attempt to not see anyone. He also says "Young vet, feeling like they forget", he never got the true recognition that as a child he would dream comes with being a "superhero". "I'm gonna be here for a while longer than i did expect to", i think this is tied to "all i want to do is the most". He believed that if he was incredible, he worked the hardest, put heart soul and mind into each project than he would find unanimous acceptance. So he worked hard as he possibly could but it made no difference, he actually states that nobody understood, and now maybe it's going to take a bit longer than expected. Just what it makes me think..

You have a problem and drink or drug to it and when you go to rehab they help you to stop drinking and everything. But when you leave you ain't fixed, cause the problems you have that make you drink in the first place still there. I'm a face my problems without the need to drug. Same. I’m 63 old single mom. A lover of all music. All my life positive upbeat. Even when bad things happened I was at least on the outside giving the image. MacGyver we can fix it. Then the fall from Grace . Blackmailed, loss, illness, years of covert abuse, no one knows what’s still happening. I will die from this wrath. But in between I found Mac. You know him in the songs.. the lyrics. He knows you. You are seen. Mac let’s you feel those feelings of darkness. You are safe here. . You spontaneously don’t have to hide or smash them down. With Mac you are Free. Go to the ends of the earth and feel your feelings. No one can get you here. You are safe. Be Free. Be free. Mac saves the Meek that shall inherit the earth. 🙌🏼❤️👈🏼

I’ve been listening to Mac miller since I was 13 years old . He’s gotten me through some of my worst depressive episodes but especially in 2019. That year , i experienced depression as an adult for the the first time which was difficult because I felt like I was in this awkward phase of still feeling like I was this teen / very young adult with very large adult responsibilities paired with emotional immaturity issues and unhealed traumas rearing their ugly heads all at the same time . I remember listening to this song every morning at 5 am going to clinicals for school … tears in my eyes … contemplating turning back and going home while pulling up to the parking lot drying my tears and putting on my big girl panties gearing up before going inside . Listening to this song now that I’m on the other side is almost surreal . I pray everyone who’s struggling sticks it out to see what’s waiting for them on the other side . Life isn’t perfect but ….. damn … it’s SO worth it. You can do this :)

This album brings so many vivid memories. It was my album of choice when I was in Greece for a friends wedding. I must of listened to it back to front none stop for days. Made 8+ hour bus rides less unbearable! Anyway on the morning of the wedding I woke up around 5am. I went and made a coffee in our little B&B and started to head back to my bed to chill on my phone. I felt my whole damn soul get sucked from my chest when I started seeing the notifications. I immediately broke down and dropped to my bed. Woke my mum up from my uncontrollable crying. Mac truly felt like an old friend to me. I still cherish his memory and music. He feels closer in a way, because he lives on through his music. RIP still think about dude everyday. 🙏

Absolutely. Mental illness can be an addiction in a way, as fucked up as it is. We get stuck in it and we often choose that black hole we’re in cuz we’re simply used to it, over something new + better. Joyous opportunities can be uncomfortable, new scenery can be uncomfortable. But those dark places have been ingrained. Just a matter of breaking it

Just makes me feel sad that a guy with this much talent was consumed by the world that he poured his heart and soul into. Reminds me of the intro to Best Day Ever. When I did hard drugs, I wanted to die because I felt like people would remember me as somebody who was better than I actually was. It's a lonely existence. I hope he at peace with the mark he's left behind, and I hope he was able to find that thing we are all searching for.

I was downspiraling into my own deep depression at the same time this album came out. I had someone ask me what my favorite album of the year was. I thought for a minute and said it has to be Mac, I listen everyday and every song is dope in its own way. Within a week he was dead and Mac is still the only celebrity I’ve ever truly mourned in my heart. Over the course of the next 4 years I sunk into anger problems, deeper depression, isolation, opiate addiction and eventually fentanyl addiction. Thank you God I have been clean since June 23, 2022, completed a year long rehab and am now in the process of rebuilding my life. I wish Mac could have seen the light of life life I do again while he was still with us. RIP to the realest!

Who knows what else this man had to say...wish i had the opportunity to thank you. Wish you were more aware of how much of an impact your music had on this generation. And how many lives you saved/helped change for the better. Gone but never forgotten. Your soul lives on through the music, and through the lives of every person your music has touched. RIP Mac. We really lost a good one..

It's sad to think that one day all his songs will be written...and all we do will listen to his songs over and over and over again...when you grow old and have kids, the first song your kids ever listen to, make sure it's Mac Miller ☺️ Thank you Ivan for showing me his music at a young age and still listening now, rest in peace Mac! We miss you ☺️💙

This song was well listened to before I went to treatment 2 years ago. When he said "ima be here for a while, longer than I did expect to. I was out of town gettin lost and I was rescued" it hit me more than any lyric had in a very long time. This whole album is 🔥 and Mac will always be my favorite. Hes gotten me through some of the best and worst times, played a part in helping me off of a very dark path I was headed down. RIP Angel

Mac I am not disappointed by any song so far it’s really incredible what you’re doing with your music. I love the versatility and every type of beat this u decide to switch to works out great. You’re what a true artist is in my opinion. Some people just sing or rap but you’re creating your stuff and your really exploring and making it work. I can’t wait for it to be 12 am!!
