Hey everyone! todays adventure brings me to Pittsburg, PA. Today we’re visiting the alleged resting place of rapper Mac Miller. Although it’s not completely confirmed that he is actually here I do believe that he might be. I am in no way shape or form trying to disrespect Mac or his family.

Malcolm James McCormick (January 19, 1992 - September 7, 2018), known professionally as Mac Miller, was an American rapper and record producer. Miller began his career in Pittsburgh's hip hop scene in 2007, at the age of fifteen. In 2010, he signed a record deal with independent label Rostrum Records and released his breakthrough mixtapes K.I.D.S. (2010) and Best Day Ever (2011). It’s ridiculous that they removed the headstone. It might’ve been the cemetery that asked for it to be removed. All they have to do is put a small sign next to the grave asking mourners to be respectful and not litter on or around the grave.

It was someone else’s. That’s why it was removed. To stop people assuming it was Macs. It had been there for years prior.

Mac Miller is Jewish, and from my limited knowledge of the families wishes, he was buried in a traditional Jewish grave and I believe they don’t use headstones. I do know they wanted it to be private and I understand that, although I personally have been to the cemetery and visited his plot. There were bottle caps and roaches left right on the dirt. At the end of the day, he was just Malcolm to his family, but for us he was something more and most of us want a place to visit and pay our respects. I will always be conflicted on them deciding to bury him the way they have. I don’t know what he would have wanted, but I know he would have wanted people to respect his mother’s wishes and I think that’s what we should all take away from it.

Yes, the circle headstone was his headstone, they will put it back once the family decides. I work in the that cemetery.

he is still in the same location but the heasdstone was removed due the the excess amount of decoration and things being put on the headstone by fans

@@cosmicaccident4068i would’ve said paraphernalia instead of decorations. i’m sure the family was bothered by all of it but the paraphernalia is just ugly. shows no respect no matter which way fans put it. it’s a resting place. his heart and soul and mind just wanted rest in this life. yeah he lived a fast life smoking and doing drugs (was doing better at the end) but that doesn’t mean to leave joints and rillos at his grave as if that’s all the good he was for this world. it felt more vandalized than treated with respect no matter the intent of the fans. intent only matters to the defendant and i agree with them and support them for removing it. sucks for all but it shouldn’t have even been an issue to begin with. people and i would think mac fans would be held to a higher degree should’ve known better and been mature enough not to leave their cd’s, trash and paraphernalia and a beautiful man’s resting place to “pay their respects” as if there weren’t cleaner and more respectable ways

I thank you so much for sharing this. It gives me the chills. I hope to one day make my way there to visit him. I still can’t believe that he’s gone, even after all this time. I was going to see him for the first time ever for the swimming tour he was coming to Toronto Canada for one night. I’d do anything to turn back time to change this outcome. But of course, nobody can. 💔

I wonder why they put a scrying mirror on his grave? It’s used to talk to the dead or for souls to astral travel. Could have been a way Mac’s family talked to him. Or what Mac wanted for his grave. Really interesting. No wonder they removed it when people found out it was Mac’s grave

To the point it might as well made him took a little too much when it ended which resulted in his death. Still.. No way to blame Ariana. Mac struggled with drugs way before her. She tried to help him stay sober too.

Coming from someone who knows - if you have a loved one who's addicted, please don't put pressure on them to get sober. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE can help another get sober. The BEST thing you can do for an addict is just LOVE THEM, BE THERE FOR THEM and if possible, give them a place to stay (especially parents to an addict). The only way an addict will SUCCESSFULLY get clean is with a roof over their head, food to eat and someone's love (SUBOXONE is the best help too!) Mac Miller was so talented and every time I think of him I think of the MASSIVE POTENTIAL he had! Can't you all just see him performing on SNL and late night shows? I can!

Everyone i know including myself got clean when we lost everything. No roof, no love, rock bottom. Difference is.. Mac was someone with insane amounts of money, there was no such thing as rock bottom, which resulted in his death.

I guess my comment was put in the wrong place, but I just wanted to share that knowledge with as MANY people as possible! I've been clean for 9 years (this May). Good for you too! I ope you and I will STAY clean. It's been really hard for me because I have BAD depression and anxiety, but I don't EVER want to go back to that world...
