When a fellow fan shows what they’ve been thru or goin thru you’ll see a total stranger giving love and saying to keep pushing or say that they’re glad that they made it and conquered their problems idk man, idk what this ramble will even do I just wanted to say something, but if you are in a bad place keep pushing you got this this is just a small chapter

I wanna say this, because I feel like I'm not alone, but this man, deserved the god damn world. He dedicated his life to his music. He worked so hard. I'm so grateful that this was officially released. I'll never forget the first time I had the opportunity to listen to his tape. He was so raw and stayed true to it, both in production and lyricism. He made me feel like I wasn't alone in my fight and journey through substance abuse and the constant battle with emotions. I miss him everyday, he was one of the true artists we have. God bless his family for handling his posthumous releases as well as they have. I hope all the macheads are doing well and I hope you turn to him as much as I do.

Always had thought I'd have more music from Mac throughout my adult life as he had so many ideas and musical variations. I literally found comfort in counting on that. When that was no longer possible it was hard because he was one of the truest artists I've ever had the privilege of listening to. Releases like this one, and kind words from other fans really really help. Every single one of his gifts can still be enjoyed in its entirety, just have to remember that.

[Intro] When will we die? This life isn't fair I miss the high, I live a lie And one day we'll die, no one will care Take me inside, I'll meet you there [Chorus] Am I alive? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Am I aware? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Do you get high? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Are we prepared? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Then one day we'll die (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) No one will care (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Do you get high? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) We will survive (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) [Bridge] Yeah Who do you think you are? Young man? Young man? Yeah [Verse 1] Man, I think you went too far You can't stop the dance Don't ever let 'em stop the dance, yeah Are we all numb? Where are we goin'? What have we become? It all keeps on rollin' A little bit of light lets the hope grow A lot goes on that they don't know Just give me a sign, to show me somethin' Is it my time? Can I stop runnin'? Lost in the night and it's so cold Forget the things that we don't know I made my peace, can I go home? [Chorus] Am I alive? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Am I aware? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Do you get high? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Are we prepared? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Then one day we'll die (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) No one will care (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Do you get high? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) We will survive (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) [Verse 2] To the girl named Danger, so good to see you Don't be a stranger, it's clear I need you The angels will fall, not a saint after all Back to the wall, let me free you Protect me from evil, give me a reason Where are the good people? Give us our freedom Where are the dreamers? Can you show me the dreamers? And we are the creatures, prophets and teachers We are believers, lost in amnesia Will you let me fade away? I wanna fade away [Chorus] Am I alive? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Am I aware? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Do you get high? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Are we prepared? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Then one day we'll die (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) No one will care (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) Do you get high? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) We will survive (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) [Outro] Ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh Ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh rip so someone who achieved greatness 🙏🖤

10 months old but I will say, I’m 28 now, and the realization I’m older than he ever was has always hit me like a ton of bricks. He was 2 years older than me, and I grew up literally listening to him and went down the exact same path as him at the same time. I went to two shows of his, early on whenever mac was in his blue slide park days, I got to slap his hand in the crowd. It’s wild to think that it was a venue with about 400 people here in OKC. I looked up to him. When I was young and on drugs, I would play rap Diablo as I got high on the same shit he was on, I wrote down a few of his songs to be played at my inevitable funeral. I got clean 6 months before he passed and I have been clean ever since. I was working a really good job at the time, and it was night shift work. I was with my crew in the truck heading to Stillwater to do maintenance on Eskimo joes when somebody in the passenger seat said that Mac Miller just died. I will never forget calling friends and then tearing up in the bathroom and crying for several minutes. It was like somebody I grew up with and knew intimately passed, and I will never forget him or his music that got me through dark times and was kind of the soundtrack to my various advancing stages of degeneration. Nobody will ever understand what he meant to me. I was able to visit his hometown, got to see blue slide park which had flowers everywhere in his remembrance, and I got to visit the location of his grave. I smoked a cigarette and sat down and spoke to him for a few moments, and I’ll never know if there was anything there listening to me. But it felt good to thank him in person. He is buried in an “unmarked” plot, which should remain a relative secret due to his families wishes and his burial being a Jewish one. I was only able to find it due to a couple locals, and recognized the roaches and sprite caps respectfully placed on the single stone. Apologies for the rant, I just wanted to lay it out there and say I get it. Everybody remembers where they were when 9/11 happened, everybody remembers where they were when Michael Jackson died. I remember the moment and day when I found out he passed and it will never leave me. The only celebrity I could ever cry over their death… RIP Malcom.

@@agentmueller WOW…I don’t even know what to say to that. I got CHILLS reading what you wrote (and normally I don’t read the entirety of super long comments) but yours…it grabbed me like a good book I couldn’t put down. Or, I suppose more appropriately, a great song I can’t stop listening to. I feel like I felt everything you’d felt. People think I’m crazy for how music affects me… Maybe it started with being a HUGE music fanatic from the time I was 5? I’d become COMPLETELY obsessed with The Beatles (still am) which was probably kinda weird for a 5yr old in 1991, lol. Up until the age of 11 or 12 I never listened to current day music…only 50’s and 60’s. I also “taught” myself to play the piano when I was about 5. I assure you I was no prodigy😂 My parent had me take lessons (which I hated…but I did learn how to read music! Which, sadly, I can’t do anymore. But I can still sit and play around, make up my own tunes, try and play thing I’ve heard before, etc. Anyway, music is what my very existence, my very SOUL is made from. The left side of my ribs is a huge tattoo of song lyrics..on my right side going down I have the symbols relating to this band including a phrase related to them. I have a short song lyric on my left and right forearms (they go together..kinda got them for an ex..but not really, lol). But most importantly, the music notes behind my ears…people always say are “cute”. What people don’t know is they’re there because even when I’m not physically listening to music…I’m still hearing music. Always. Ya know?? So I was a Mac Miller fan before he died…but I didn’t really know anything about him, and to me he was just another artist out there. But when he died it hit me hard. I can’t explain why. After he died I started listening to more of his music.. Fast forward to today…I’ve been listening to (&discovering new) music of his NONSTOP. Like, I’m talkin almost all day and night..just constantly. And the more I’ve learned about him and how CRAZY TALENTED he was (I used to think he was just this white kid rapper…ha, DAMN WAS I WRONG!!) the more I become engrossed. But…the more my heart hurts. It’s like I’m having a delayed reaction to his death..and I get more and more angry and hurt as the days go by. It just wasn’t fucking fair. I’ve been in his shoes. I still have struggles. It’s not fucking fair his life would end and the world would be deprived of this beautiful, amazing genius. I dunno…I’m sorry I’m rambling. And now I’VE left a long ass comment! I just wanted to say something cuz your comment hit me…it really resonated with me. Also, it was nice (while also sad) to see someone have the same emotional reaction to Mac and his death that I’ve had. I hope you’re still doin well🙏🏻

this was made during the faces era. faces came out in 2013. I think it's more of a self-fulfilling prophecy than predicting the future. If you know something is going to kill you eventually, and have enough money to get a lot of it (like mac says in the "stopped making excuses" documentary on YT,) then it's only a matter of time and self control before you go. In his case, he just got unlucky with mixing coke with fent pills, but he was alive for close to a decade after releasing this. not discrediting your comment though, i agree.

I really wish I could put into words of just how appreciative I am that his family shows so much love to the fans, couldn’t be anymore grateful that they could make this happen :,)

I'm copying other comments but I don't care; this shit is an anthem. It makes me cry to think about what Mac could have done. The lyrics and production, everything was going up, and when you consider Swimming, how could anything be better? But it keeps getting better. Huge respect and love to Mac's family for letting the world share in the joy of his music. I know nothing in my comment is original but I'm just saying how I feel. I've never been the same after he died. I can't listen to Wings anymore. I can't think about him, most of the time. It's so hard. Mac, you'll always have a special place in my heart. Thank you.

Yeah… no lie. I was crying when I put this song on for my morning drive. I had to pull over on the highway and get my shit together. I felt like such a pussy. But I can hardly listen to Mac anymore without feeling a sad hole open in my chest. I even got sober after a 15 year struggle with drugs in honor to Mac. It’s so sad because he was my same age. And as I’ve gotten older I can see how my mind has calmed down and life has gotten a little clearer. It would have happened for him too but now he will forever be stuck at the age he died. Sad sad shit.

@@shasmi93 I feel you. It's weird because the best way to honour his legacy is with his music but it's just so hard. I just can't stop thinking of what could have been

Even when he’s gone this man still can make us all smile and cry. This song has to be possibly my favorite. It conveyed so many emotions and I’ve never heard Mac sing the way that he did. RIP The Most Dope 😔

This song, man. It’s so beautiful. It’s really like nothing else he’s put out. It’s so special to me. Hearing his voice, the lyrics, the many feelings I get, and the goosebumps, it’s just everything Mac meant to me. Thank you brother.
