ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

Works out better for him honestly. Now he's free to pursue his dreams with whomever tries to sign him, unlike the winners who are most times bound to promote, tour and only advertise for the show after they win like on American Idol. I could be wrong but he will be better bc of it in the long run. Losing is never the goal but if it means being fast tracked to your goals, then I'm here for it!

Wrong songs!! John categorized him. He didn't do this to himself. He sang "GRAVITY" to audition. He should have sang other songs. TKO by Teddy Pendergrass was probably not recognized by most people. Definitely not JOE.

I discovered Mac from the Terrell show and I have been a fan ever since. He is so passionate and deserving of the win. He went from singing on the street to build a fan base to the voice. I know there has to be more in store for him. I never watch these types of shows because amazing talents get overlooked and it's sad. Keep pushing Mac Royals hopefully John Legend has something in store for him.

Mac is truly one of the best r&b singers to ever perform on the voice stage. Such a beautiful voice. However it seems like his best performances were the ones before the semifinals. He ate those songs up! The song choices for the semifinals and after we’re just not ready get for him. I love Joe and I wanna Know is a fave of mine but I wish they had chosen something different. I feel as if he should not have been sent home either way. I pray he gets that recording contract he so richly deserves.

IT HAPPENED AGAIN? R&B is not favored on The Voice. Let’s tell the truth. I was watching and hoping Mac would make it through but I felt like the viewing audience wasn’t going to choose him. I believe it started with Reba publicly making the comment about Mac not taking her advice when she was his coach. Who would publicly criticize a singer on their own team? And the time when she didn’t acknowledge nor comment on one of Mac’s performances. I have watched Mac on several KZbin videos and he’s sung a variety of songs outside of R&B. So glad the world knows who Mac Royals is now and I am proud of him! Congratulations to all the contestants who made it through and all the best to those who didn’t. It takes great courage to do what they love no matter what. Many greats have the story of being turned down and rejected. Just have to keep striving.
