followed everything step by step and it was all installed, however the begnning of the terminal never changed to (fooocus) after restarting it and because of that, nothing really worked properly. Would love it if this was explained to people who don't have a techy background.

For anyone who may have the same issue, I figured it out a minute after posting the question. Apple M1 Max 32GB. Open Terminal > conda activate fooocus > enter You will see the left has changed from (base) to (fooocus) Now you can enter python entry_with_update.py If 'conda activate fooocus' doesn't work, you might have called your folder 'Fooocus' or 'AI Stable Diffusion' or something like this and will need to make sure your command matches the folder name.

@@alejandrozamora9021 Mine also had the same issue recently. I had to put in 'python ' and then click and drag the 'entry_with_update.py file into Terminal and press enter. That worked for me. Also make sure you change the session from (base) to (fooocus)

To reopen it, skip the installation part. Run these: conda activate fooocus, then change to your Fooocus directory: cd Fooocus, finally: python entry_with_update.py

I think for apple silicon (M1 2 or 3), 16GB unified RAM should give good performance. But I only have 8GB one which is slow.
