My dad bought the record by Mac in 1953--I was 9, called "Remembering". He would put it on auto play--for 2 or 3 hours at a time, still sounds good to me 70 years later.

A wonderful voice and the enjoyment showing in his face whilst singing! A wonderful man: always to be remembered! Rob.

One of my GREAT MEMORIES was meeting the MACMAN in Sydney N.S. about 35 yrs. ago. It was an "Outdoor Show" on the back of a Flatbed truck. After I waited out side the Trailer { Dressing Room } Mac stepped out and flashed a huge smile and stuck out His hand. Nearly WET MY PANTS. I have always admired His Super Clear voice. He signed my cap that I was wearing . STILL HAVE IT......................! R.I.P. MR. Wiseman

I don’t know how I missed Mac in my country music journey through life. Born in 61’ I thought grandparents gave me a great respect for Lester/earl but missed Mac. It’s why I love Y/T.

I can share a little about this video. It was a show at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It was a television special sponsored by the Stetson Hat Company. i don't think it ever aired, but I'm not really sure. I never saw it anyway. This in an early version of the Johnson Mountain Boys with Dudley Connell-guitar, Eddie Stubbs-fiddle, Richard Underwood-banjo, David McLaughlin-mandolin, & Larry Robbins-bass. My guess, from the suits, would be the very early 1980's.

Thanks Dudley. Because of the information you provided, we know this was from a performance at MSG called "Hats Off To Country Music" on 24 Oct 1981. The performers were Alabama, Charlie Pride, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers Band, Janie Fricke, Terri Gibbs, Johnny Rodriguez, Mac Wiseman, Earl Thomas Conley and the Pridesmen, the Tennessee Express, and the Johnson Mountain Boys (who were with Mac in this clip.) A 60 minute TV show was produced from the concert and was aired on TNN at least in April 1986.
