Amazing review mate. Bang on with the review and I completely relate to your rant on the route Macallan is taking. It’s becoming hard to even keep track of the number of releases coming out by Macallan. I would honestly not bother buying the 12 even as a comfort drink as it feels a bit off as your rightly mentioned and at 40% feels too light. But great review again and congrats on the 3k

Macallan is a brand which i really admire, having said that there are some things i would like to mention,at this price points it's still low ABV and Chill filtered

Not the same case here in India, prices are extremely high and in some state like Karnataka,Maharashtra it's super expensive even to think of this scotch or whisky/whiskey .

3k!!!! If we all chip in 1 buck can I get a sip of a real Macallan. Actually, around here that only gets you half a bottle. For 6000 it should come with a hotel room and a bartender etc. Maybe someday I'll try Mac 12 at a bar. Just to know what run-of-the-mill tastes like.

Congrats on the 3k bro! This review was perfect, it had the rain drops, the bottle flying into your face and that leaf blower. I suspect the blower was sent in by Macallan to drown out your voice recording and sharing the C grade review. I bet that's what happened here. Let me see if I can put this into a context, Macallan is like that shady car dealership, our entry level basic models are expensive too but if you want a luxurious model, we can only sell it if you've got a fat wallet on you.

If the juice is not great would it really be any better at 46%. I'm new to the whisky world but I soon realised most Macallan was overpriced. Well done for 3K. Wont be long before that's 4K because your reviews are entertainment plus

Thanks Bill. I feel all whiskies have a very individual sweet spot when it comes to ABV. Just because it tastes nice at 43 may not necessarily mean it will taste better at 46%. But that's just me - other people have different opinions about it.

Like you say, "It is what it is." Looking at the the spec on this bottle it ought to be closer to £30 rather than £100. It's discontinued anyway. Every Macallan expression is overpriced. I used to get hot and bothered about it because I've had some great Macallans back in the day. That's not the name of the game any more. Some slick marketing and a gimmick with some juice in a bottle is all that's required for the moolah to roll in. That leaf blower 🤣
