Just rewatched this after a long time. What a delightful lady Martha’s mother was. I believe she was 85 when this was filmed. She appears 20 years younger, brought up a large family and then went back teaching. How lucky Martha was.

Great example of passive/aggressive by Martha. Oh...btw, trust me on this...instead of dolloping with butter my mom used margarine. Not too healthy but makes a huge difference in taste. She also put slices of American cheese on top.

Very mother/daughter. I used to watch my mom cook with her mother at Thanksgiving and Christmas. My grandmother would tell us stories of our mom as a child, or would contradict her and my mom would either groan or shout, "Oh, mother...!" I was the same when I cooked with my mom! :-D

And, Your Mother's Recipe For Pecan Pie. I Use Almonds With Almond Extract Instead of Pecans and, Vanilla. Girl, All This Leo Has To Say Is, It Was Sooh, Delovinlicious ! My Sister Is Allergic To Pecans. But, I Believe That Almonds With Almond Extract Taste Better Than The Traditional Way. Try It If You Haven't Already. Your Mother Still Takes All of The Credit For It. It's Bomb. 💣😍❤
