But this isn't Gordon Ramsey cooking for 5 rich people, this an old man who with his core of kindness goes out of his way to cook a BIG meal for many many people who are probably not as fortunate as you. Thank you for your comment. I understand your views, and appreciate them. I think you may have misunderstood me though. I made this comment because there are tens of other people in the comment section criticizing his food. They should just be glad he's doing good for people in need, no matter how well done his recipe is. I agreed there could be room for him to improve, but these people were not giving him tips or ideas on how to make it better, they were just bluntly being rude. Also, with the Gordon Ramsay. I didn't mean it in a way to make him seem arrogant or an 'a-hole'. I simply used his name because he is a very good chef with high quality work, and his food comes for a pretty high price, while this old man is making the food in this video for less fortunate people for no price whatsoever. Thank you, and I hope I've cleared some stuff up for you. I made the comment just from kindness and had no intention to go off on other commenters individually or call out Gordon, who I think is a great chef.

That’s the type of person everybody should admire, he looks like a regular old man, but his a great hero, saving children from hunger and cooking a new recipe everytime. He botched the roux. Flour goes into the butter before milk. It’s why it ended up looking bad, and the cheese sauce probably had a grainy texture. I love grandpa and what he’s doing but if you wanted to know why some people are saying it looked bad that’s why.

I’ve recently found this channel and just love watching. Grandpa cooks for the whole village village. Very selfless. This is as calming and entertaining as anything I’ve seen on Food Network or the Cooking channel and this benefits many of his family and friends. Wonderful. I haven't delved in any further past just watching the videos. Yes I can easily see that these are very professionally produced videos for such a humble and seemingly simplistic stated cause (Grandpa feeds the hungry/needy orphans). It would be a shame but not a surprise if corruption lies here. It looks great Grandpa...but might I make a suggestion for the next time you make it. Put you milk in first then the butter so that the butter doesn't scorch. Bring the milk and butter to a slight boil. The add your cheese and stir until the cheese, milk and butter are creamy...Flour will just cake up the mixture and take away from the flavor of the cheese. Melted Cheese will thicken on it's own. If you don't have enough cheese to make a thicker sauce you can use a little Corn Starch. But don't over use it. Once the sauce is nice and thick and there are no clumps, add your noodles and stir until the noodles are coated in cheese sauce. If you're able too, try using 2 or 3 different types of cheeses with the cheddar...your choice to what kinds you like. Take care and keep your cooking shows coming. I enjoy them very much.

Amazing work Grandpa thank you for doing this! Advice for if you make this again: melt butter in pan then mix flour into it. When it turns into thick paste you can put the milk in slowly while you mix so there is no lumps and then add the cheese. But great effort for first time!

That makes no sense. You make the sauce, I.E. bring the butter and milk to a boil then add roux or a slurry to thicken then melt cheese into it. Then you pour the sauce over the pasta and mix and it coats it, not absorbs it.
