SCTV was better than SNL back in its day! Eugene Levy is just insane as Mel and Dave Thomas as Richard Harris kills it! A great parody of the 70's Disco/TV dance shows.

Mel's Rockpile was usually pretty funny and this one was, as my friend Hilario calls it, HILARIOUS. The much-maligned MacArthur's Park is handled well here, with that last part when the lady comes in on those final notes was the icing on the cake. SCTV blew SNL away, but it was so off the radar in the USA compared to SNL that I never saw it until the 1980's.
