Excellent vid and what weather! Was up Torridon a few weeks ago and rode the Lollipop first day, planned this one the following but a combination of mechanicals in the group and horrendous weather ruled it out this time. Laughed loads more than I probably should have at that drone getting caught in the trees, robot brain haha!

Wow. That first drone shot. You could forgive it anything after delivering that impact. Fantastic. I did the route on a sunny evening in a dry summer and found it a slog on my hardtail. Wet around the loch and not an easy climb. When you look on the map and see how much broken-flow riding there is before the start of descent it's easy to see why people just go up and down. However, I reckon it's worth that circuit of the mountain at least once. The descent is great and the face of Ben Damh is impressive. You got it captured brilliantly once again.
@McTrailRider3 жыл бұрын
I agree, it’s a big slog but worth doing at least once.

One of your best videos to date. Superb. Ticked all the right boxes.. stunning landscape perfect weather and great footage. That drone is an incredible piece of kit. How it didnt crash is testament to it's technology. Almost waiting for you to call it. Has it got a name?. Really enjoyed this video. Man, that was some drone footage, amazing! Was curious what happens when a drone gets lost. There's just something about those mountains in Torridon. As an alternative we just went south on the tarmac road then cut across to the new track. The ascent was pretty boggy/rutted but completely worth it for that descent. Bit of everything, baby heads, drops, slabs, rocks, rocks, rocks. Other trails just seemed way tamer after doing this one - a great progression trail.

I’d probably opt for the road or an up and down the descent next time myself. It’s a great descent👍

Shimano wandering bite point is solved permanently by fitting Goodridge hoses and following Marshy’s bleed guide kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppq6c4l6nZajiqc. XT 4 pots here just rode the whole summer finishing with 4 days in Aberdeenshire to include massive mountain day. Bite point remained the same, the key is bleeding with the bleed nipple fully removed and using the superior connections of the Goodridge kit.
@McTrailRider3 жыл бұрын
I’ve had all kinds of recommendations on how to fix the issue, the technique you’ve linked to being one of them, which did help. The hoses I’m sure will help too, but I’d probably just go for different brakes next time.
