Outstanding riding in that Gnar and the views, wow. It's amazing you all can ride in so much mudd/water... In the states (east coast) its very much frowned on to ride in wet conditions(some trails outright close) due to the damage and erosion, etc that's occurs when riding mudd/puddles. Would love to get more glimpses of your riding(Pierce wears the Gopro). Thanks for sharing such epic shredding Vids

I'm watching this very early morning, absolutely jealous but seriously impressed. We have walked this route and now you've reminded me just how good Scotland's Mountains can be. This route must go down as one of your best, filming is very good and the return ride Brilliant. When you did the lower path did you go right round and back between the 2 Buckles. I'm not doing spellings. Modern Bikes are really capable but take the credit you deserve, you've still got to stay on and control the descent. Top effort.
@McTrailRider

Nice to hear from someone who has experience on this mountain👍 The lower descent was down the shoulder from the lowest point, I believe that is the only official path to take. I will take some credit of course 😜 but I couldn’t do this day on 26 inch mtb from only a few years ago.

Ever thought of having a crack at rab wardells time on the west highland way ?
@McTrailRider
@McTrailRider 4 жыл бұрын
I’m flattered you think I would have a chance, but the reality is that Rab is way, way fitter than I am. You’d be lucky if I could do it in a day.

It's hard from the video to get a guage of the size of those rocks you were riding over, but they look pretty big

Hi. I am going to get a new helmet and was wondering if the giro switchblade is good? I ride downhill trails but usually pedal not take the uplift. I also do trail riding but with gnarlier decents when possible. Thanks
@McTrailRider
@McTrailRider 4 жыл бұрын
The Switchblade would definitely suit what you have described. It can be a bit hot over 20 degrees though.

What a run! Looking at getting a Garmin as well, think the 520 would be ok? Or is the 530 worth the extra money? :)
@McTrailRider
@McTrailRider 4 жыл бұрын
Really depends on your needs. I got the 530 for the colour maps and Shimano steps connectivity.

Do you think you've managed half of that descent on 26 inch wheels instead of the 29rs?

The bigger wheels do make a big difference, equally the newer geometry helps massively too. Overall, much easier to do stuff like this nowadays👍

A good bit on the small to medium sized hits, but you need your limbs more after that. The problem on this day was the steepness and size of the steps.
