@@Soren_Caique_xD holy smokes I remember watching these!!! I wrote this last year when I was in the hospital for a week wow 😯 So like, a LOT happened this year lol the reason that I wanted to start breeding was because a car accident changed my physical condition a few years back. That week I spent in the hospital, I was being treated for a seizure. That I never had. Turns out my brain had been badly injured and never treated for years. I had moved into an apartment suitable for breeding (it was in my lease!) literally the day before I was hospitalized. Sadly I would end up losing the apartment along with my finances. Good news tho, I’m a persistent sob and I’m making a miraculous recovery from what I now know to be a movement disorder. Science tells me to expect a lifetime of disability but my daily experience says I’ll make a full recovery. The whole experience with illness has really made me appreciate every breath I take (cuz they used to hurt lol) and I do really want to start building a new life with little expenses so I can be productive from home with nature. So lots of things in motion but still definitely my plan. I actually got a pair of budgies while I was a mess cuz my heart was still with parrots. I know it’ll take me some time to get my life in order, but breeding parrots is 100% the plan! Caiques are actually on my shortlist too!

@@macintoshimann9892 Wow what a story, this story you have told me makes me think you those this path right now because you feel the need to experience this plessure now that your life have come to a holt and had you thinking what you really wanna do. Beeing with parrots and the exotic nature they have is a blessing and can wash away alot of bad feelings just beeing with them its like they talk to your inner self in a way we cant explain. I wish you a 100% recovery and i strongly believe you can because of your own mindset and believe system. I wish you all the best to build up a place to raise parrots i think its some of the best you can do to yourself. All the luck and good vibe from me Søren and my caiques.

@@Soren_Caique_xD Your enthusiasm is welcome, Soren. Nice to hear from somebody that appreciates the majesty of parrots as well. You picked up on something too, this whole experience has given me so much clarity about what matters in life. Losing what I thought was everything was the greatest thing to ever happen to me, truly. Parrots have brought me so much joy in my life. To be able to bring that joy to others was a childhood dream. Now it’s motivation to learn to use my body again. Love is the only thing I decided means anything and parrots are full of it! I can’t wait for my budgies to breed and pass that joy on to someone else very soon I’m hoping! I even plan to hand raise, wouldn’t have been possible 6 months ago 😉. And quite seriously I hope within a few years to be known as a crazy bird person haha. Blessings and joy to you and yours, friend.

most parrot owners keep 4 bowls. one for water, pellets, treats or nuts and fresh veggies. there are large macaw bowls which are flip resistant and bolt to the sides of any cage. parrots should have pellets and fresh veggies at all times. I use plant grow wide spectrum LED lights with a timer so my birds get 12 hrs of light per day. they go on just before dusk and turn off in about 6 hours during short winter days. I adjust them so my birds get 12 hours of light per day, 12 hours covered during the night. seems to work

Hi Is it easy to mate for a Macaw parrot and what company makes an egg incubator?
@jmdenison4 жыл бұрын
carrier is too small for a macaw. get a wire dog crate and put a perch in it. they also make macaw carriers for about $225 now. but you can get a small dog crate off of craig's list for about $10. make a fleece cover for it for winter. love these videos

Please help! My Male macaw doesn't want to mate this year. ( last year was the first year they mate.) But hatching wasn't successful. The female was impatient, after 3 wks, she stepped on the eggs! Please respond and suggest, thank you. Do you still sell the macaws incubator also?

Sad that anyone thought these cages or diets were adequate for macaws....
@lulwamokhtar98665 жыл бұрын
Sarah i agree with u on the cages, but the diets were adequate for macaws.

are these videos current made to look old??

No, it's from 1994

Alot of these macaws dont like this guy. In the first video as well! Great information though, we need more videos like this! They should add the wood toys instead of acrylic. The water spraying to get a bird down from a tree and the cone around the neck to stop plucking made me a little sad.

Why your bird didn't fly away?

birds can be taught to station. see bird tricks videos

Instead of squirting your bird with a hose just don't be dumb enough to take a bird outside un harnesses, even clipped birds can still fly, but unlike a fully flighted bird they can not control their flight and are more likely to get hurt
@jmdenison4 жыл бұрын
that's not necessarily true about clipping. a vet should clip your bird and then they just don't fly so high (hopefullly). all birds should be clicker recall trained so that when you click, they will want to come back to you for their treat. I agree about a harness anytime you take a flighted bird outside. my birds are rescues and plucked before I got them, so no worries for me.

Your absolutely right, don't be dumb enough to take your bird outside I the first place , this video didn't give any good information on breeding your Macaws, how old before they can breed how many years can they live ,how long they live ,proper breeding boxes , I've been raising Blue and Gold Macaws for over 20 years, love Macaws ❤️ 😍 💖

Meant to say how many years can they breed , also good to know
