Talking about their cognitive level you might appreciate this story. My grandfather had several Birds three different macaws and a moluccan cockatoo. The cockatoo was by far his baby ( his name was Alexander but more often than not we called him either peachy or peaches) and his cage was next to the dinner table. My grandfather was Notorious for giving him treats while we were eating dinner, typically pieces of whatever we were eating at the time. So one night we were having fried chicken with biscuits my grandfather decided to give peachy a biscuit so he opened his cage and put it in his bowl. peaches of course climbs over to his bowl takes one look at the biscuit and immediately goes to grab it out however it's a biscuit it's crumbly it doesn't do too well being held firmly, it instantly crumbles and falls out of his foot to the floor of his cage. Not to be deterred peaches goes down to retrieve his biscuit he picks it up makes to climb back up to his bowl and once again the biscuit crumbles out of his foot. this happened several more times, mind you we're all getting a hoot out of watching this poor bird try to get his biscuit back up to his bowl. One of his favorite toys in the whole world where empty water bottles he took great joy in popping the tops off and then ripping them to shreds. so low and behold on the floor of his cage he has the bottom half of a water bottle, after several minutes of trying and failing miserably to get this biscuit back up he walks over picks up half of the water bottle brings it back to his biscuit puts all his biscuit pieces inside the bottom half the water bottle picks of bottle up in his mouth carries it back up to his bowl sets it in his bowl and then proceeds to eat his biscuit. it was about the best dinner Time Entertainment we ever had

This is so funny- reminds me so much of my tiny parrot- she loves baths so much as well and is very picky about healthy foods like vegetables- Cheyenne is such a cutie- fascinating because she plucks like that that you can see her crop and gullet so well- it’s actually really interesting. I’ve never had a plucker, but did have one bird that I think was a runt and picked on, got him at 8 weeks and very tiny for his age and had these two large areas on his wings that were permanently fluff and no adult feathers ever grew in, at first I was worried it was plucking but it just stayed all his life as fuzzy fluff feathers for some reason. Chicken is definitely a favourite too- I’ve never thought of giving the bones so I’ll have to try that- thanks for the tip :) Also glad to see another bird that loves her baths- mine loves them too- the sound of running water is like a beacon to her.

Macaws are very large birds, it is not a good idea for someone to get a pet macaw as a first bird. They scream ALOT. And you seem very young, because you said that "my parents don't want to have pets" meaning you still live in their house, and aren't old enough to get a house of your own. You should do MONTHS of research about a bird before getting one as a pet. And for me it is easy to know who knows alot about birds, and is ready to take care of them, and someone who doesn't know almost anything about birds. You said "i wish i had a bird like that!" You didn't call it a macaw, you said "a bird like that". That says alot. Macaw cages and aviaries cost LOTS of money. One macaw can cost over 2000 dollars. And cages even more. And birds have feathers, not fur.

and this is a perfect example of a human helping animals not because of her own personal gain, but because she wants to help the animal :)

Watching your channel has help me educate myself on these animals, I can't wait to have proper space, facilities and money to be able to have some "exotic" animals some day🥰

My starling Attila will bathe in anything she can too. Coffee cup, aquarium… I thought she was just nibbling on plants in the aquariums, but turns out she wax eating snails, shrimp, baby crawdads, guppies, and tetras. She would straddle the tank lid and filter overflow. I had to put a stop to it, because not only was she eating too many of the tank animals, but she fell in and got under the lid and I had to rescue her. I ended up having to put towels over the tanks when she was out and then clicker train her not to go on there. It took THREE years before I could quit using the towels. When birds want something they really want it. Don’t know if starlings are more stubborn than other birds, but they are pretty stubborn!

i thought 'having a macaw is like living with a 3 year old for 75 years' would be the funniest thing in this video, but then Cheyenne tried to bathe in a peice of watermelon and I almost peed myself. XD

That bird treat you got is like the bird version of one of those fan things filled with candy you get at a Walmart cash register

I've had my macaw for 3 and a half weeks and she seemed to love these treats so I will try to test my macaw mildly on the treats I have not tried

My parrots love the Caitec baked bird munchies! Particularly the tropical and cranberry ones. I'm convinced it is bird crack but I'd totally recommend them!
