MacBook Air M1 8gb vs Mac Mini M2 8gb

After pitting both of these devices against the Asus Rog Ally handheld device i was surprised to find that both the Apple devices performed around the same (and both on a par with the Rog Ally).
This prompted me to pit these two devices against each other in this test and, in spite of what the two previous tests showed, I was still surprised to find that they scored very similarly against each other in this test.
Reading around the web it does look as though while the M2 chip does have improvements it does not appear to perform much better than the M1 chip - which is born out in these tests (and as I have stated before, these are not particularly scientific tests, they are just meant to be indicative for any FL Studio user considering replacing their current hardware)

Sorry, I keep switching between calling the Macbook Air an Air and a pro - Duh! Its an Air!

mmm interesting.... now the two are at the same price in my country, maybe the Air makes more sense at the same price.

If they are the same price for the same specs I think the Air is better value for money

Try more intensive demo songs ...maybe try red Rani ... that's an intensive project

Thanks but I chose this one because of its strong dynamics and I want to be consistent across all the tests.
