Through the entirety of my life, I've never idolized anyone, or had a mentor per se. Sure, I've seen personal traits in someone that appealed to me, and adapted (adopted? not a native speaker) them. But never have I had this sense of idolization for someone, until now. I am truly humbled in saying that for the first time in my life, I've found someone with the ability to not only shed light on concepts in a whole new manner, but subsequently helping me ignite that inner fire to deal with said concepts/issues. Today we are working on a MacBook for Karen the broker. After we quoted her $250 for the repair we billed her for $600 because that's what everybody does. We also sold her a 500GB hard drive but billed her for a 1TB drive. Get over it!

I'd recommend getting a nice backup generator for your store just in case.....brownouts suck....maybe even APS outlets for your computer systems so that they don't reset between the time of outtage and your backup turns on.

I hope he shares the actual cost for the construction. Union workers, it's going to be 250k on the low end. They show up with 5 extra workers who sit around with brooms just waiting for the floors to get messy. It is the biggest ripoff here in Boston as well. They want to charge you $100+ for a gallon of paint. A few conference rooms painted they wanted 14k, I called someone from Task Rabbit and it was under $1000. Data cabling and WIFI, they wanted over $35k, I hired an electrician from Craigslist to assist me and pull the permits and I did the same job with better equipment for under 10k

It really depends on what you want done, some unions do great work advocating for the rights and wages of their employees, some unions exist to bloat and inflate the cost of everything and keep shity people from getting fired. It really depends on the company and the industry

@@rossmanngroup Hopefully Fios fixes that. Also I learned if you play dumb and get residential connection at a business most installers for fios don't care and won't eat you out. So up to you if you want to pay for "Business" or residential that uses the same hardware and lines unless you need a static ip. Verizon business support when I used them had earlier hours than residential. So if your network goes out at about 445 pm you need to wait until the next day to talk to someone.

A while back I asked louis on a live chat this same board missing s4_enable something like that which comes from the smc... Louis said “That’s your homework” 😂 well today I found out it was just the charger even if I had a good 12.6v on my ppbusg3h. Yay apple! The charger did not let my smc say it’s ok yo go to s4 state. I don’t know if he knew a charger could do that and that was my homework but fuck if he knew he should have just told me try another charger 🤣🤣🤣. Btw the stupid thing is not giving me image but I honestly believe it could be the screen, it does output through hdmi.

Dam I wish I could make it for your first Meetup, I can't drive at the moment bc I have a seizure condition and I am not allowed to drive till I go a year without being hospitalized from my condition. I'm 7 months in, I normally keep myself under control just had a time I drank way to much and had a massive seizure in the snow which made it even worse. But I would def be interest in coming to the first Meetup for 1m I live in PA so if I am able to see it in 12 hours minimum I could get a bus or pay someone to drive I could make it faster. Honestly though, IT industry can be just as shit as real estate. Buy a 10tb harddrive? You get 9.1tb of usable space. 100mbit internet? maybe 80-90mbps if you're lucky. laptop with 6h battery? it can hold maybe 2h after a year. Sure I know it all has technical or nomenclature reasons. But those are the same type of excuses that the broker uses.
