Macbook Pro PBUS VP0R sensor issue running slow common issue

Just repaired mine early 2011 mb pro with this fault...just bad/dry pads under the chip. Resolder and good to go! Also upraged to SSD (finally). Feels like new machine.

What are the resistors replaced with the IC, r5302 and r5301? (100k ) I lend to someone my old macpro 2011 and got liquid damage in that area and run very slow without adapter plugged in. When I finished cleanning it, one of the resistors wasnt there.. I need to check if it works before ordering the IC. Thanks in advance

Hey Louis! I have a suggestion for a video if you would like to try it. You know how those pesky corroded pads that don't really want to wet and take the solder. I have come upon an acid flux that works wonders on them and in most cases you don't even have to scratch away at them, which sometimes causes the pad to lift and come off. Try Kester 2331-ZX Flux. Put a little on the pads and just run solder over it a couple times and there you have it! A clean, beautiful, soldered pad. :)

Would drilling with a tiny pillar drill through the broken via to run a wire through it be a viable strategy? After all the via didn't lead anywhere else and it has a diameter of clearance away from any other copper track on all layers.

+Louis Rossmann. There was a water spill a year ago and i got it cleaned the same day of spill. "kernel_task" is using 87-93% CPU when AC adapter is unplugged. Apple Hardware diagnostics says 4SNS/1/40000001:VP0R-0.000.

I have a macbook pro mid 2012, that boots extremely slow (sometimes doesnt boot), I took out the hard drive and ran the osx install to check if it boots normally and it also takes a lot of time (sometimes dont even boot the bar stays at 99%)...but if I do a safe boot into the os it runs normally but with slow animations, can someone pinpoint what could cause this issue, thanks

It comes in a pen, and he calls it something like "Conformal coating" - Like this one (not sure if this is the one) ... www.all-spec.com/products/CW3300G.html He says, the various colors are not just colors but also consistency, and that green is better, you can see him use in multiple other videos.

+Dorf Schmidt Why are you using this solder mask stuff for holding bonds in place? This stuff is usable to isolate traces on the board but not to hold wires in place. Because you have to use a lot of this mask and have a long "dry"-time. And you need a proper surface. That's why we are using hot glue or in some cases mounting adhesive from the hardware store.

well i couldn't imagine an average computer caring especially since it's really just electricity but in precision hardware such as medical equipment as you have said in previous videos i wouldn't put someones life in the hands of a wire i'm just a computer hobbyist i fix em, upgrade em, and keep em running i enjoy the content though

+LAN Master (sirswears) Oh I agree, that is not the case though on a lot of medical equipment... respirators for example. Also if you've seen the testing that goes on for medical equipment in bayer pharmaceuticals youd be quite shocked. For one, all of the tests are being conducted on windows based machines. It is also a bad idea to have medical equipment connected on a network, but hey, its so rare that people hack into them, why bother to make them work offline?
