I had a chest version of this when I was little. It would open the same way with the password, it had the same intruder sound, but instead of a diary it was a little box. It had little plastic keys stored on the inside of the lid and if you put one in the key hole it would play back a "memory" that you recorded. Each key had its own theme like there was a pink key that had a heart on it for the "Love key". A green key with a clover that was the "Luck key". There were about six I think but I don't remember all of them. If I remember correctly my password was "Giiirrrlllsss.. rock!". I'm 15 now and have no idea where that little thing went lol

I used to have one of those, looking back I cringe so hard. My password was Popo cause that's what I call my grandpa. Later in life I threw it away cause it broke but I kept the keys because they were cute. I was around 11 or 12, I am now 17 and I have no idea where those keys are. In the trash, in someone else's possession or in an old bag thrown in my closet.

@@octogev3853 They also don’t have to be really secrets. My cousin liked to draw, write poems or short stories but was scared that other people would criticize her work so she went to great lengths to hide it. It’s amazing all the things that as a pre-teen or teen think is so important that they have to password protect it. Also, if you have a secret that you really want to share but don’t want to share with people, writing it down can give the relief of “telling” a secret (even a secret told to them) without really giving away the secret.
