I have a Okinawan Karate/Kobudo background. I was messing around with a Chinese Pudao I picked up from Bud K just to try something new and boy it's unweildly and awkward and mostly HEAVY ON ONE SIDE. Watching your vids and working with a 15lb mace has bridged a gap in my head and Pudao is making way more sense lately. Good on ya!

I must be super uncoordinated because I played with this for quite a while and can't get the movement. So much for it being a simpler movement! I will keep on trying! :) Thanks for the amazing content on your channel!

With a growing interest in your approach and based directly on your recommendations, I've added the following to my gym. Maces: 2kg short handle, 4kg, 6kg 1.5" dia. handle. 10kg heavy club, 16kg Kettle bell. I'm avidly watching dozens of your videos. Looking forward to getting the competition adjustable kettle bells. (If my wife contacts you please just say "yes"...thanks.)

With all those years of kettlebelling and clubbelling behind you you would absolutely smash an amateur arm-wrestling competition

When I started mace training, I bought a 12 lbs mace and found it to be too light after only 5 sessions. A 15 lbs mace was perfect for performing the basic forms and for 360s. If you can do kettlebell halos with a 20 kg bell then a 15 lbs mace will be great for many weeks to months.

@@MarkWildman we actually covered a lot of the names in that seminar a few years back in Hollywood. I’ll also publish a few different courses with the names and title. I can hear a bit of it when you talk Mace. There’s a whole mace movement vocabulary out. It’s constantly evolving.
