Great exercise! It seems that when I do shield casts (one handed) with a club my hand brushes my shirt, but when I try two handed (club or very very light mace) I am definetly having 90 degrees at the elbows. I suspect some mobility issues with the thoracic spine...
@nadiadozova65154 жыл бұрын
@@kylelochlann5053 yes it probably has a neurological component too. I can do a two handed very light club cast. One other reason is that my clubs are not very good for two handed work. They are pretty short and have pretty big "handles" for my hands. I suppose things will get better with practice, when I increase my strength, mobility and neurological control...

When I do the backswing with the mace or club it bounches off my shoulders. Am I doing it wrong and if so how do I correct this?
@dsvenjohnson834 жыл бұрын
You described "top hand across opposite ear". I was trying that but it didn't look quite right. Then I noticed that you don't actually do that. You go more straight up in front of the face and then swing, which I think 'feels' more correct? Thank you for what you do 👍

How heavy of a mace should I start with?
@etilrets4 жыл бұрын
Start with 5 kg or 10-12 pounds. This is technical swing and with big lever and extra heavy weight you may injure yourself. I suggest start with lighter weight and increase progressively.
