They screwed this show.If the were familiar with the old one, they could see that Mac was a hacker, chemistry wizard, physics expert and many many other things. Didn't need any help but most important HE HATED GUNS! How do you expect me to watch this show if one of his teammate has a gun??? Also old song is far more good than this one!

I have watched the show and it is really good and different compare to the old MacGyver which is always a plus. the idea is to come a little different but stick to what the show was about. which was a man that can get out of any situation with his pocket knife and duck tape. I hope it stays around long while.

je suis une grande fan de la série des années 80, Richard Dean Anderson est irremplaçable mais Lucas Till est vraiment très bon acteur, je l'aime beaucoup. Par contre, dans cette nouvelle version, il reçoit trop d'aide et c'était bien mieux quand mac était seul . Ceci dit, cette nouvelle version est agréable à regarder et j'espère voir plusieurs saisons avec les mêmes acteurs

Just imagine ,if you were the star , limelight and the hero of a show ,and they're gonna reboot it with someone else as its hero , would you join it as a minor character , forgetting all your identity ,dignity and pride ? The appeal of the first show was the dichotomy between the woeful acting and perpetually flat affect of Richard Dean and the heightened problem-solving skills the character possessed. MacGyver was never a smooth suave Bond-type. This appears to be a bungled rehash merely exploiting the MG name.

This MacGyver reboot is mediocre, being adapted to modern times, it is the same as any other series. The original series was excellent because it was precisely different from any other TV series. The arrogance and narcissism of the characters in the new series are also adapted to modern times, since nowadays being arrogant and narcissistic is quite a strong trend. In short, this new MacGyver reboot is more like a James Bond movie but with the name "MacGyver".
