As much as i dont like Machel Montano sometimes, a lot of other soca artists can learn from the way he promotes his music and brand from the way he releases music on his own youtube channel to the hype he puts out around his work. If i was a soca artist from any caribbean island or around the world i would be studying Machel and taking tips. Sometimes we forget that this guy is in the industry for 31 years and he is in his early/mid 40's.

I agree with you Akil and him being in the industry for 31 years got me thinking about his contribution to our society in terms of giving back. How come he has not yet taken a young person under his wings to groom and develop them music-wise or even opened a school or something to teach young people music. Just a thought....
