Has anyone told you that you are a genius! Why have I never thought of stitching it from the front? I HATE hand sewing, I believe you have just solved my dilemma. Thank you.

Gracias por el tip. Lo tendré en cuenta. Tengo más de veinte años cosiendo y colocar el bies ha sido mi talón de Aquiles. Voy a aplicar tu técnica para probarla. Saludos desde Venezuela!

Instead of pins couldn't you just use glue or steam-a-seam?

You can, and some do. I tried gluing and binding just didn’t lay right, as the binding is folded and you only glue the one layer, the top layer shifts and bubbles up, I use clips or pins which ever is nearest to me at the time and that works better. Hope that makes sense but will anything best to try yourself and see if you like doing it that way.

I haven't tried the glue or the steam a seam. Seems like they would work. I did try the clips and while they worked, I preferred the pins because they didn't get moved or shifted if they hit a snag on the sewing machine table. They kept in their spot and secure. The clips shifted just enough for me to not use them anymore. They may be good to use in between the pins.

This was the first tutorial I’ve seen with the binding pinned. I would think this would make the neatest work. Thank you.
