F1 uses multiplate carbon clutches with a titanium basket.... And no rapid disengagement in F!, instead they use 50% clutch and feel the power flow and then engage the rest. but it totally depend on the driving style of the driver and its for sure no one engages 100% in a single go as its gonna fade the clutch and eventually gonna make the car slow due to very low working tolerances of the clutch system... and no changing of carbon plates as they cost around 7k USD for one single set.

Is any power loss, while the friction clutch transferring power from engine to gear drive?
@FilmKeeda4 жыл бұрын
During the engagement and disengagement there is some power loss due to slip.

What is the axial force that is responsible for producing friction force...is the axial force is the applied force or developed force???
@RajkumarDD-nh5pb4 жыл бұрын
we are applying axial force to disengage the clutch....but how the pressure force will be developed even though there is no contact between clutch and flywheel.......
@FilmKeeda4 жыл бұрын
Pressure is already there due to spring. We apply a force opposite to spring force to disengage.
