With over 100 Class III/NFA items in the May 17-19 Premier Auction, there are ample options for collectors at every experience level.
For today's video, Keith hasn't selected the highest estimates of the auction, but instead chose items for their collectability, shootability, and a cool factor that will have experienced collectors nodding in agreement.

I adore the M2 but 30 carbine is not plentiful like it once was. If you plan to buy a class 3 gun, make sure you can feed it. The AR18 is a better choice.

Anyone else sick of companies making money off the unconstitutional NFA???
@sbreheny
@sbreheny 2 ай бұрын
That's not how it works. This is an auction company. They are selling at the prices the market will pay. The reason the prices are so high is the unconstitutional Hughes amendment and NFA - but so long as those exist, the only way to get a legal machine gun (as a private citizen in the USA) is to buy one of the registered ones, which is going to be expensive because of supply and demand. If companies and individuals didn't sell them, people wouldn't be able to have them. As owners died, the firearms would end up getting destroyed.

I'm guessing these are an individual selling them. You can't blame the auction house, they are just providing a service. But yes, it would be great if the NFA went away and we could all buy reasonably priced cool stuff

Most of the AR-18's in the hands of the IRA were stolen from the Sterling factory in England, not made in the USA or Japan. The really interesting thing about the AR-18/AR-180 is how it was so "unsuccessful" but so many modern rifles are inspired by its action or a direct copy of its action, too numerous to name all of them, but to name a few, the British SA-80, the French FAMAS, the Steyr AUG, the CZ Bren. It could be argued that using a proprietary magazine killed its sales, basing on the AR-15 magazine with a different style catch, which led to some shoddy modified AR magazines that didn't function correctly and the original magazines being too worn to be reliable.

Not really. Most were from George Harrison and a Corsican arms dealer George de Meo. Cool story though.

Biden and a few of his cartel mates were regularly supplying the IRA with weapons, that`s how the IRA got their hands on Barrett 50cal rifles within weeks of the US military adopting it...

Some were definitely stolen... Back from various storage areas by the IRA after being seized one way or another 😂 but not from the sterling factory, just local bases/police stations/etc. before they could be secured further away and then destroyed... Also the vast majority of AR-18s used by the IRA were definitely US manufacturered Armalites, atleast based on the bit of "The Troubles" history I've studied from Irish and Irish/American citizens giving lectures... I don't have their sources memorized, but they are pretty reputable historians... Various patterns of weapons appeared from all over the globe, so I'm sure some foreign produced licensed AR-18s were around, but I'm guessing that would be the exception not the rule. Maybe just to use existing magazines/ammunition once Harrison was out of the game. 🤷‍♂️

Do you still charge the seller a 20% fee as well as the Buyer a fee?

The percentage charged to consignors depends on the quality and quantity of the collection. The buyer's premium is 17.5%. However, we do encourage bidders to be aware of additional costs when determining how much they can bid. These costs can include tax, shipping, and an addition 3.5% if paying by card.
