@@fredriksvard2603 Completely with you. But The Blackening remains top tier in terms of technique and overall atmosphere imo, their Magnum Opus. The band has great skill when they put their minds to it, but most records only feature some of their best tracks out there. It gets repetitive really quick, especially on the older outputs. Only The Blackening managed to keep me captured from start to finish upon first listening. Especially since I had only recently entered music school to learn e-guitar when they dropped this monster of an album. You can almost see the edgy nerves, boredom and even perhaps a little apprehension from the old band-mates reunited as the begin to play. As if they aren't really wholly emotionally invested in it yet you can see that as the song goes on they are drawn in further and further in until there is genuine enjoyment there. Amazing song no matter what age and I'm sure it's a lot of fun to play, thanks for getting together again for this guys.

Conclusion: this album barely aged at all, and neither did Robb or his voice

ha ha yes baby, bring back the old days. This song still cuts it today. I actually sat next to Rob on a flight from London to Dubai. Thought he was just some crusty old metal head who loved Machine so much he had a MH tattoo on his forearm. Im like, hey bro how good are Machine Head, he was like yeah that's my band. Fuck me, I wet my pants. What a loser.

Lucky!!! i would cry if i met him. my brother was lucky enough to meet him at a Watain show in Oakland , CA thats where Robb is from. My bro bumped into Robb in the audience. and told him "dude, you're Robb Flynn right?" he was like "maaaybe." lol my bro was like "dude i wont give you up" Robb was like yep it's me." he took a pic with my bro. then my bro texted me the pic and said. "I just met your crush, you can hate me now." i was like "Fucker!" lol but he said Robb was cool as hell.
