In the gear fault frequency, is it correct that the same speed (6.67 rps) is multiplied for both pinion and wheel frequency? Shouldn't the rps of the pinion be larger compared to the higher diameter wheel?
@themechanicalengineer11 ай бұрын
Actually the Gear Mesh Frequency (GMF) is same for both the gear and pinion (a pair of gears)... That was a mistake in the video..

Hi sir, Good afternoon How to do this using MATLAB software. Did you make any videos regarding this. pls can you provide the link

Sir a question...in the first case of the gearbox, you mentioned the rpm is 240...so is it the High speed side rpm or the low speed side rpm? For calculation purpose what is the requirement..?? And for condition monitoring of gearbox teeth, does the sensor(single axis sensors) needs to be mounted on the bearing casing or the gearbox casing in the three (XYZ) direction...Plz reply

Its actually the driving speed of the individual gear.... For example in a single stage gearbox, we have two gears rotating at two different speeds, so this system has two fault frequencies ( one for each gear)... Regarding the position of sensors, for gear fault diagnosis, one direction is enough (either X or Y)... Because both will have the similar pattern of signal and amplitude....

Can you tell us how to use eigen vector and eigen values to decide vibration points ?
@themechanicalengineer10 ай бұрын
Eigenvalues and eigenvectors are commonly used in vibration analysis to determine the natural frequencies and mode shapes of a system. The components of an eigenvector also denote the displacements of each degree of freedom in the system. Look at the magnitudes of the components of the normalized eigenvector. Larger magnitudes indicate more significant displacements in the corresponding degrees of freedom. Note: This is up to my knowledge; I haven't practically applied this.
