As a german i could only say the people here and the citys run all as motor mowers for retention ponds and mowing high grass. Nice machines

You haven’t got close to the limits of what these machines can do. I have a Canycom CMX1402 and land that is full of broom and brush with granite everywhere and many fallen trees destroyed in a fire. It’s also steep enough that I can only just walk up it and the Canycom deals with all of it - even cutting cross slope which is something I have to do on occasion to avoid obstacles.

Definitely this again shows the great performance and thoughtful design of the AS-Motor products coming from Germany. RC is a very big game changer in mowing tough conditions, increasing slope performance and also increase safety. I also enjoyed, how much fun the guys had, using this machine. Nicer video!

I'd always go for the Sherpa RC of AS-Motor. It's a fun machine and I used it a lot in steap slopes. It never disappointed me even when cutting really high grass with bushes or old blackberries in it. Go for it 🙂🙂

Great video! The AS looks a little more sturdy and designed for steeper slopes. RC is definitely a plus in difficult terrain. Would be nice to have a longevity test and spare parts availability check. Useing it professionally it must be long lasting and easy to repair.

The AS Motor is a beast and the RC function is so helpful. I buyed a few years ago a 940 RC with 8h for 15.000€. Nowadays it would be for a new 940 RC about 27.000€, yeah the Canycom looks different but it’s 10.000€ less. There are also other good brands like Etesia Attilia and Efco with good high grass mower. With my 940 RC from 2018 many teething troubles mostly goodwill but sometimes I wouldn‘t recommend it. Now they have improved many things

It's incredible how expensive that AS Motor is.. We're talking almost VW Golf money, for a freaking mower that has 27HP, no roof, AC, doors... That should be 10 000-15 000€ machine. Tops...

@@markbrisec3972 yeah it’s crazy, but it’s special Engineering. A VW Golf is a Million times thing, all is hard calculated with 2-3% Ebit. A sherpa 940 will be about 15% Ebit.

@@janh9030 Sure, its special engineering but its not a one of a kind Moon rocket. They've been making them for years now, if not decades. All the technology is well known, test and tried. It's a freaking ICE engine straped to a steel chassis with some leavers, moving deck, hydraulics, wheels and brakes. I agree that its overpriced at least 150%. It's the same thing with the smaller units too. AS 21" push mower cost 3000€. A freaking push mower with a blade clutch and the Honda 200cc engine. It's as if they're hand made by some artists that takes them 10 days to make one mower. It's a freaking industrial line with guys bolting parts to the steel frame. Guys you see drinking beer on the Friday evening and pissing all over themselves.. Come on..

I have a Honda engined BCS 740 two wheeled tractor and with the 80cm flail it does pretty much all this and costs under 7000. The fact it also drives my mulcher shredder, harrow, and one other piece makes it more versatile and a lot cheaper. And if I bought the sulky I could sit on that if I can't be bothered to walk. Nice machines but for my needs and value for money they are not for me.

Those sure made short work of all that thick, weedy stuff. Think these could smash through thick brambles and stuff too? I'd love to see that, but not you both cut up of course so cover up or use your remote! Feeling your pain there actually as I recently tore through a load of thick, gnarly stuff with hedgecutters and a strimmer which contained stinging nettles and hidden hogweed/cow parsley, in the sun and with my arms exposed. I still have the bramble scratches and peppered pink patches where my skin blistered.

It's a shame the AS disables the remote control when the seat sensor is triggered. I always thought it would be fun to put something like a 3' grey Alien doll in the driver's seat and go around a park using the remote to drive it around, just to see how people react to seeing an Alien driving around. My other idea would be to add RC controls to a mobility scooter and have an Alien drive around in public.

These riders are not common in the USA. Most brush cutting is done with a rotary deck attached to a tractor's rear three point hitch and PTO.

I’ve driven a Grillo Al, but I have never cut with one, so I can’t really compare. One thing I did notice with the Grillo was being that I’m 6’2 I find I didn’t fit that well.

The Grillo is a bit more lightweight. While it cuts well it doesn’t stand up to abuse in the same way these two do.

@@johnmay754 our grillo is worked in forestry. Cutting rough ground and regen. Belts are the biggest issue, goes through a few during the summer. Would love to try one these machines James has, see if they are more robust
