Machining a v-groove into a round leather belt pulley

In this video I'm cutting a V-Groove, into, what originally was a round letter belt stepped pulley.
Fair warning; lots of chatter in this one. I would not use headphones :)

😊Got similar problem, but with flat belts. One solution is to cut grooves to suit automotive belts. As these are part of the machine, gotta make wooden single belt pulleys with keyways. Thinking, thinking, hope it all goes away soon. Watch you instead.

your making unnecessary work for yourself, all you need is a stick of wood to the profile of the vee groove. a length emery round the stick, job done. you don't need all that turning and measuring. and bullshit setting up.
