Polishing the journals from the old Karger sliding spindle

You need a flat stone for this. I bought a flat diamond plate and made a stone flat on it. It's perfect to remove burrs like this.

a perfect example of why metric threads are shite. you would never have this problem with BSF or SAE threads.
