Space Station 13 is a game that you're not going to understand unless you play. It's not a game you can learn by watching or reading, and it is a game you certainly won't master in your first day, week or month. Space station 13 is one of the most insane experiences of my life, a game that has occupied my time for over a decade now. Space station 13 is the roguelike of roguelikes for me, the most wonderful piece of human created madness, and certainly on equal footing with dwarf fortress in terms of sheer complexity. Imagine being trapped in a flooding, underwater space station. Out of the dark, on the floor - _Undead Macho Man Randy Savage_ crawls towards you. Before you have time to run or scream, he grabs you. "OH YEAH!" He begging spinning you at alarming, dizzying speeds. "YOU'RE GONNA FLY!" He throws you. You travel at mach speed, you're already dead before you hit the wall. The last words you hear before you die: "GHOST ZONE!" Your body hits the wall and explodes with the force of a pound of C4.

Lol I remember this round, this was recorded back in February/March right? I was on medical duty reviving everyone who had died in the ring for most of the shift. I forgot that the MD had gotten into the ring at one point and I had to fight him to tap out of the fight and get in the port-a-med. I've had more than a few memorable shifts on goonRP but this one will always have a special place in my heart.

I got to be Alec Whittier, the radio dude, and got ganked by the syndie who took over my radio station right about when we get told there were no eggs. Then I was the green wizard, exploder of asses, and I got to learn that the wizard's shield spell will not stop macho man from exploding my nonmacho body. Finally, I was also the wraith - the good one that kept requesting more ghosts for the ghost zone and drawing squared circles and hearts, not the lame other one what with the promises of death. I've played SS13 on and off since 2010 and this was definitely among my favorite rounds, mostly because when there's at least one person willing to "yes and" instead of jerk off in the same space corner for the hundredth time you can get involved in more spaceman shenanigans. And boy, were there shenanigans.

i remember you one time playing a round where you had to rebuild a destroyed station back into working order, playing hardspace shipbreaker gave me an idea, how fun would it be to break down a fully functional derelict station for salvage? Playing as a Lynx salvage team contracted out to NT to salvage Space Station 13 as "efficiently" as possible while fending off squatters, monsters, and Syndie planted unionizers.
