MACHU PICCHU CIRCUITS 2024 - They changed them again!

Well Machu Picchu changed their circuits, again. They now have 10 to choose from, and I'm going to give you the full rundown! Here you will find what you can see on each of the circuits. How to plan your trip and what rules you need to follow.
Circuit 1A - Ruta Montaña Machupicchu
Circuit 1B - Ruta Terraza Superior
Circuit 1C - Ruta Portada Intipunku (disponible solo en Temporada Alta)
Circuit 1D - Ruta Puente Inka (disponible solo en Temporada Alta)
Circuit 2A - Ruta diseñada
Circuit 2B - Ruta Terraza Inferior
Circuit 3A - Ruta Montaña Waynapicchu

Hi, super informative video, thanks so much. It seemed like you didn't touch on circuit 1A very much (unless I missed something). 1A includes the hiking permit up Machu Picchu Mountain in addition to the panoramic upper terraces. I'm booking a fairly last minute trip (about a month out) and most of the coolest routes are already booked up (All the circuit 2s are sold out, and most of circuit 3s are sold out). We're looking at doing Circuit 3B first (the boring "mobility issues" one haha) first at 6 am just to see the citadel, and then going to 1A at 9am for the panoramic views and hiking Machu Picchu mountain. Would love your thoughts on this and if you think it's worthwhile and feasible in this order. Again, very much appreciate your video as the new circuits are rendering most of the online resources outdated - it's kind of daunting!

@RebeccaLouise85 Thank you. Yes, that is a great circuit, and the views would be amazing. They do sell out quickly. I noticed when I was looking into the new ones that most were sold out already.

If the ticket for Circuit 3+ huyanapicchu is sold for 9-10AM, what time are we expected to entre the park, is it earlier than that?is the 9-10AM entry for the checkpoint in huyanapicchu or can we enter huyanapicchu anytime after that? Thank you :) Great video btw!

Hi! I’m doing the salkantay trek with a tour company and they booked me 2B, I wanted to get your thoughts on this circuit. would you advise that I book another ticket on my own? Thanks for this video, it was very informative :)

@vivianl6906 I'm jealous you're doing the trek 😆. 2B is a good one. You still get a great view and a similar picture to the classic, plus you get to venture into the citadel. With the trek, you will be coming through the sun gate, another reason I'm jealous lol. If you need more info just let me know. Have a great time!

Great information - Question, If I book multiple circuits in one day, after completion of a circuit must I exit Manchu Picchu and re-enter or can I just go from one to the other without re-entree? That is if the time of exit of one is within the time of entrance of the next.

@tomfreese7392 Thank you. Yes, you must exit. I would suggest giving yourself 4 hours to do the first circuit. Depending on the circuit, some don't take long, but i really suggest taking your time. There is a restaurant and cafe up top to take a break in between.

If you have never been to Machu Picchu before it seems like the Circuit B gives you a chance to see more of the upper and lower terraces including the Citadel. Why did you not recommend these routes?

@user-jc1bk9gw4l I did say in the video that this was a good one to choose. But just seeing the postcard view and a portion of Machu Picchu citadel is really not fully experiencing it. I recommended the ones I thought would be the best to get a full experience. This place is more than just a photo op. The surrounding area, the trails, have so much history and give you a full sense of what this place was really like. I hope that answers your question?

How do they control which circuit you've bought? if you are buying only one circuit, would there be a way to go into any other ones? Or are they fenced? New system looks like a rip off, because to see the whole of Machu Picchu you need to buy at least 3 separate tickets to separate circuits, which is quite unfortunate.

@olgaz1625 Yes, unfortunately, you would have to get 3 to see the entire place. They have people at points across the entire area who check your tickets. The older circuits were better, but I understand why they changed it.

Do you get to see the classic mountain that you see in all pictures in circuit 3B?

@0fjz0 no, you don't get the classic view. 3b is the lower portion only

@0fjz0 Yes, but you will get a different view that is close to the classic, and to be honest, it is a really nice picture in 2B. If you are going to purchase another ticket to see something more than do either the Inka bridge or one of the mountain climbs
