I love that people are still into this. I remember reading about the mystic upgrade when I was young.

I have a mystic sitting a few feet away. Such a thing of beauty. Now into the 4:43min and I know that this is going to be a fantastic video for any CC owner who wants a 575 in there to get it up to a Mystic level and drive it home with a 640x480 resolution. I'll say it now, brilliant video!

Really interesting. My mac collection has yet to go that far back in time model wise but thanks for that great tutorial video. Also a great work itself on that mod. You are skilled!

It's my understanding that it's just a matter of adding the system enabler 065 ver 1.1 to the System Folder.

I've been searching for both a Color Classic in good condition and a 575 board for this very project for a while now. @Branchus Creations, please reach out if you have leads on either?

Thank you for adding this video! Awesome resource. I noticed that you have a lot of capacitor lists on your site. Doe you happen to have a list for the LC/Performa 575 analog board? I am thinking about a Mysic upgrade for my color classic and fixing a spare 575 up to stay as a 575.

My analog board doesn't have a J78 and J79. It has DD1 in place of it. What do I do instead?

I like the color classic case and all, but I'd rather have the LC 575 as is and the color classic as is. But it is a nifty mod for the compact mac fans.

Does this analog board mod work for the LC 550 logic board?

as cool as this is it pains my soul how many LC 575's have to die to make this happen
@BranchusCreations5 жыл бұрын
Many of the LC575s are dying without any assistance - they're one of the models that gets very brittle plastic as they age. The board I am using came from an LC575 with a case that had completely disintegrated. I would never have the heart to decommission a perfectly good LC575 for this purpose.

@@BranchusCreations as the owner of two LC 575's I know exactly what you mean. They are so brittle I cant even retr0brite them

You are mentioning 3d printing the backplate. I only have G3 iMacs in my collection but I know that problem plastics getting brittle. When I take apart these machines I tend to heat up the plastic with a heat gun to take out the screws. That helps so far. When do companies come up with complete replacement case parts...

I recently ordered a LC575 online from a seller. It was packed correctly but arrived in hundreds of pieces. :( Luckily I have a CC that I am now going to repurpose this logic board for as It seemed to survive the trip.

I keep having dreams of grandeur such as gutting one of these machines and replacing the monitor with something like an iPad or an old MacBook or Mac mini with a display that fits the bezel so you can run modern software and browse modern porn on an old looking machine.
