The last tip was the best. On my MAC there was a profile for "anysearch" installed blocking me from changing the homepage or even download a virus protection program. Deleted the profile and I am back to normal after searching for a solution for a half day. Thanks!

Thanks man I tried MalwareBytes and it sorted the problem for me and got to the root of the issue asap and made the deletion process very easy. I had Adware and now my safari runs perfectly fine now :)

I went thru many tutorials and even went as far as to install 2 different antivirus software to get rid of this stupid malware and none of it helped until I watched this video. I followed your steps and "boom" the stupid malware is gone. I'm so thankful for this DIY video because honestly I'm skeptical of downloading any software onto my MacBook Air and even when I did it DID NOT work. I prefer to manually get rid of it myself. Might add remember some malware sits in the firmware of routers so if you still think your internet traffic looks strange by way of a keylogger you need to update your router's firmware and if it is 3 years old get the ISP to give you the latest router modem asap.

Thank you for this video, it helped heaps. I had a problem with this pop-up saying "DigitalDataSearch something something..." and some other ones whch would then either says 'Allow' or 'Deny'. I pressed Deny obviously everytime. Deleting those things from Launch Agents and Daemons helped + the other things showed in this video. In addition I also went to system preferences > security and privacy Firewall --> turned firewall on (it was off for some reason) Privacy --> Select Full Disk Access, double clicked on the weird looking ones which deletes it after you type your password to confirm - i.e DigitalDataSearch or some random number one 999999 This also helped ^^^ Hopefully the results are long-term saving me a trip to Apple. Here in Australia there aren't many closeby to where I live. Cheers MacintoshTraining

i was facing ad malware and each time i open any window then that malware automatically open there window on browser, which is ofcourse quite enoying. i get some help from above video and some from a cleaning app free. i downloaded CLEANMYMAC X and run on system then that app show me 11 targets which was disturbing me. now this app need me to clean these malware but they want me to pay. then i used above video and enter in library and get the names of these malware from cleanmymac and delete it manualy. really i cant beleive it that my mac got cleared very easily. really appreaciate above guy to help us.

So...I got excited before i watched the entire video, and i deleted the launch agents without unloading them. If they rebuild, i'm assuming they'll just show up in the launch agents folder again and i can unload them. Is this true?

i have a weird safari malware that keeps popping up called Linkey. It looks like a search engine. I have done what you have said and change the home tab to Google.com and i don't see profiles on my system prefs. When i open a new tab in Safari it goes to google. When I go to a new window, it pops up again as Linkey. I think it is a common Malware. I use the free Malware software and it doens't seem to find it. Any tips?

LaunchAgents are only invoked when the user logs into a graphical session. this is culprit. i deleted it out of daemons folder but the cheeky thing popped up again a few secs later. in Agents folder is a microsoft update launcher dated Mar 21. can you go off dates in the Agents folder? only because the MS one is the most recent and this Malware only started with an update, i presumed an Apple update but now not sure...... thanks

This video was so clear and informative, thank you! However I have a problem. While watching the video, I went into LaunchAgents and immediately deleted and removed from trash "apadecode" from the folder. Shortly after, I resumed the video and heard you say to view the launcher at follow where it leads to delete the rest. It was too late because I already deleted it. I clearly should have waited to do anything until I finished the video, haha. The virus seems to be less active now: no more random tabs popping up on safari with ads. Is there anything else I can do to fully get rid of the rest?
