When this came out I was on the edge of having a mental breakdown. I sat in the kitchen and wanted my life to be over. I was in high school. I had no money, no food to eat and every one I loved had turned against me. I sat there with a bottle of pills contemplating whether or not I should do it, then this started playing on the radio. I started crying and I felt happy after he said I felt some pain I’ve seen some things but I’m here now. I dropped out of school and joined the army and things are a little better now. I no longer worry about not having money for rent or food to eat. I am happy at the moment and I just want to let you know that you don’t have to kill yourselves to end your life. You can move on to a new place and start a new life. Live how you want to live and be happy... 21/10/2020 I know I’ll be back to update this. This is a note to you, the future me I love you. Just in case no one else told you. Now show me that beautiful smile. 31/10/2021. Hey you

I wasted my entire 4 years of h.s. I did not join clubs, nor made any attempts to make new friends. While seeing my current friends expanding their own social group and having fun, I am in lost of how I am going to rebuild my social circle. Thankfully I opened my eyes when college came around. Listening to this song encourages me to change into a better me. If you're still young, please enjoy every aspect of your life.
@lonnisplace14595 жыл бұрын
Orionary Same. This is like legit me. If I get into college, I am so doing more. These four years of high school, I joined maybe two clubs, one of which our new principal shut down. I have to talk to him about that. And since I'm always new everywhere, the friends I have at my school aren't even really close to me. They have their lives and their friends know everything about them, but with me it's different. I'm just more comfortable with a small group of friends, but in college, I'll try to get out of my shell and do more things and meet more people. I graduate this year, too, so I understand. I think the one main things colleges will look at is that I have six college credits so far. Working on my ninth this semester

Hey stranger, how are you? I hope you're doing ok. No, i hope you're doing amazing, because you deserve it. This year's been tough, know. But you're here, no matter how many times you thought you might not make it, and no matter how far away it used to feel. And i'm so incredibly proud of you for everything you've done this year. Even if nothing springs to mind, you've made the world a better place just by being here. And no matter how likely you think this new year is going to be just as difficult as this past one has been, just remember that the chances of this year being better are the same. From my little corner of the world, i'm cheering you on, hoping that day by day things get a little better for you. Please don't be afraid to cry, to have feelings, to be vulnerable. You're safe here, in this moment, even if you dont feel safe to show your true self anywhere else. I hope you find a place you feel safe to be yourself, and to find out who that beautiful person even is. I hope you learn to love yourself as much as i love you: unconditionally. You've done nothing to earn my love, and yet i love you so so much. You are enough, i promise you. No matter how much you or anyone else may think differently, you are enough, you are worthy, you are loved. Even if the number of people who you think love you can be counted on one hand, add me to that number. hopefully, one day, you'll add yourself too. Until then, try to find the joy in the moments life sometimes let's you have.too. Until then, try to find the joy in the moments life sometimes let's you have. The moon is beautiful, isn't it? just like you, inside and out. This is a bit of a ramble i know, but i hope in this moment you've found a little bit of comfort and peace. Maybe hope, or even some strength. Have a few deep breaths. Take things one little step at a time, my love, hat's all you need to do. I'm so glad you're here, please never take away your tomorrow. i'm so proud of you and love you so much. I hope we meet time, in this life or another so, Stranger. Keep your head held high. I love you❤

[Chorus: Kesha] I wish somebody would have told me, babe Someday, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret Someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of these good old days [Verse 1: Macklemore] I was thinkin' 'bout the band I was thinkin' 'bout the fans We were underground Loaded merch in that 12-passenger van In a small club in Minnesota And the snow outside of 1st Ave I just wanted my name in a star Now look at where we at Still growin' up, still growin' up I would lay in my bed and dream about what I'd become Couldn't wait to get older, couldn't wait to be some Now that I'm here, wishing I was still young Those good old days [Chorus: Kesha] I wish somebody would have told me, babe That someday, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret 'Cause someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of the good old days [Verse 2: Macklemore] Wish I didn't think I had the answers Wish I didn't drink all of that flask first Wish I made it to homecoming Got up the courage to ask her Wish I would've gotten out of my shell Wish I put the bottle back on that shelf Wish I wouldn't have worry about what other people thought And felt comfortable in myself Rooftop open, and the stars above Moment frozen, sneakin' out, and fallin' in love Me, you and that futon, we'd just begun On the grass dreamin', figuring out who I was Those good old days [Chorus: Kesha] I wish somebody would have told me, babe That someday, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret 'Cause someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of the good old days [Verse 3: Macklemore & Kesha] Never thought we'd get old, maybe we're still young Maybe you always look back and think it was better than it was Maybe these are the moments Maybe I've been missin' what it's about Been scared of the future, thinkin' about the past While missin' out on now We've come so far, I guess I'm proud And I ain't worried 'bout the wrinkles 'round my smile I've got some scars, I've been around I've felt some pain, I've seen some things, but I'm here now Those good old days [Bridge: Kesha] You don't know what you've got 'Til it goes, 'til it's gone You don't know what you've got 'Til it goes, 'til it's gone [Chorus: Kesha] I wish somebody would have told me, babe Someday, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret Someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of these good old days

So true. I graduated a few weeks ago and after graduation there was a lock in at this place to give the seniors one last chance to make memories together and to keep people from going out and getting drunk. I went and there were not a lot of people there. I was worried that I wouldn’t have anyone that I knew well to hang out with and contemplated just going home. As I was sitting there in the parking lot I had this random radio station on and this song started playing. It was so perfect and fitting that I just sat there and listened to it. I took it as my sign to go and I ended up knowing everyone there and having a blast. I’ll never forget that moment or that night.

Waaa waaaa I didn't what I wanted cuzzzofffcoviddd. You're young, in 5 years you won't even give a fuck about your senior year. Life moves on and you'll realize high school wasn't that magical thing you think it is now. In 15 years you'll laugh at all the information you were taught that you completely forgot about, because it has no real-world use. Welcome to life, now get a job ;)

*LYRICS* I wish somebody would have told me that Some day, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret Someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of these good old days I was thinking about the band I was thinking about the fans We were underground Loaded merch in that 12-passenger van In a small club in Minnesota And the snow outside of 1st Ave I just wanted my name in a star Now look at where we at Still growing up, still growing up I'd be laying in my bed and dream about what I'd become Couldn't wait to get older, couldn't wait to be someone Now that I'm here, wishing I was still young Those good old days I wish somebody would have told me that That some day, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret 'Cause someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of the good old days Wish I didn't think I had the answers Wish I didn't drink all of that glass first Wish I made it to homecoming Got up the courage to ask her Wish I would've gotten out of my shell Wish I put the bottle back on that shelf Wish I wouldn't have worry about what other people thought And felt comfortable in myself Rooftop open and the stars above Moment frozen, sneaking out, and falling in love Me, you and that futon, we'd just begun On the grass, dreaming, figuring out who I was Those good old days I wish somebody would have told me that That some day, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret 'Cause someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of the good old days Never thought we'd get old, maybe we're still young May we always look back and think it was better than it was Maybe these are the moments Maybe I've been missing what it's about Been scared of the future, thinking about the past While missing out on now We've come so far, I guess I'm proud And I ain't worried about the wrinkles around my smile I've got some scars, I've been around I've thrown some pain, I've seen some things, but I'm here now Those good old days You don't know, what you've got Till it goes, till it's gone You don't know, what you've got Till it goes, till it's gone I wish somebody would have told me that Some day, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret Someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of these good old days

Good Lord, if you would've asked me my opinion on Kesha's voice before this, I would've said she's just another fill-in-the-blank pop artist. But that soul behind her voice in this tune is so real, it cuts deep in a sense of bittersweet comfort and realization of what's in the past. Kesha, I salute you.
@GlobeKrusha7 жыл бұрын
When you open the chords of your voice book, then resonate harmony, you are sharing and evoking your soul to listeners, whilst performing. There is some kind of possessive element when doing so, maybe even ascension (taking control from your outer body).

When she left rehab for the ED in 2014, that's when she removed the $ cuz she's a human being named Kesha, not a product. This was before the lawsuit started already

Just turned 25, My memories from teenage days seem so recent and are still fresh in my mind, my childhood memories don't seem to be too far either. But looking at myself now as a father of one I realise it's been a long journey and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

The worst part is feeling like you're the only one who hasn't moved on or grown up when you visit home and see how much has changed. So many people have moved away and you wonder why it feels like you're the only one who hasn't moved on emotionly wise.

I'm 16. Not many good days yet. Key tip. Stay your strongest at your weakest points. Money isn't everything. I'm grateful for the struggle, the future is bright and I'm ready. Keep your heads up everyone.

I used to be just like you, at 16 and i was wasting my life chasing girls that dont like me, think im weird, or in general just can't comprehend what im trying to get at. 18 now life is waaaaayyyyyy different now i kinda miss being young not gonna lie, life is hard when you relize how young and free you were once. Keep your head up, stay in school, and live life like there will be no tomorrow 😃

25 and i really dont care for the money i work when ever my work calls for work, i can buy stuff i like. only thing i miss is a girlfriend lol... but except working i dont go anywhere els... school was easier to get a girl... but ever since i got my degree.. its been way to queite... kinda forgot how to get a girl lol nah but dont focus on money. focus on being happy. do what makes you happy (you do need money) but like me i go to work but like i say i dont do it for the money... im here cause they need my help im glad to help out my coworkers that is the only reason i mainly say yes when ever they need me. but having a job you like helps... but in my place my coworkers are cool and they keep me at the work. without them i would be gone doing nothing.

This song came on almost simulateously as a call came in that my only daughter, at 7 years old, had been critically injured by a reckless driver in the back of my parent's SUV. I knew she would pass away when I got the call. I took her off of life support 7 days later. It's been 3 years. It feels like it was yesterday. Please heed my words. Your entire life can become the good old days in a moment. Please love and cherish what you have because your life can be over in a moment when you lose the one keeping you alive. There's before and after. If you haven't lost that one person keeping you going, enjoy every single second with them please.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. My beloved younger brother died by suicide on Monday, the 10th. He would've been 47 in July. I've been remembering the good old days alot. What you said about there is a before and an after. My best friend literally just told me that yesterday. She lost her 28 year old son to drug overdose last October. I will be praying you ...again I am so sorry for the loss of you're precious little girl😢

[Kesha:] I wish somebody would have told me that Some day, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret Someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of these good old days [Macklemore:] I was thinking about the band I was thinking about the fans We were underground Loaded merch in that 12-passenger van In a small club in Minnesota And the snow outside of 1st Ave I just wanted my name in a star Now look at where we at Still growing up, still growing up I'd be laying in my bed and dream about what I'd become Couldn't wait to get older. couldn't wait to be someone Now that I'm here, wishing I was still young Those good old days [Kesha:] I wish somebody would have told me that That some day, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret 'Cause someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of the good old days [Macklemore:] Wish I didn't think I had the answers Wish I didn't drink all of that glass first Wish I made it to homecoming Got up the courage to ask her Wish I would've gotten out of my shell Wish I put the bottle back on that shelf Wish I wouldn't have worry about what other people thought And felt comfortable in myself Rooftop open and the stars above Moment frozen, sneaking out, and falling in love Me, you and that futon, we'd just begun On the grass, dreaming, figuring out who I was Those good old days [Kesha:] I wish somebody would have told me that That some day, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret 'Cause someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of the good old days [Macklemore (Kesha):] Never thought we'd get old (maybe we're still young) May we always look back and think (it was better than it was) Maybe these are the moments (Maybe I've been missing what it's about) Been scared of the future, thinking about the past (While missing out on now) We've come so far, I guess I'm proud And I ain't worried about the wrinkles around my smile (I've got some scars) I've been around (I've thrown some pain, I've seen some things, but I'm here now) Those good old days [Kesha:] You don't know what you've got Till it goes, till it's gone You don't know what you've got Till it goes, till it's gone I wish somebody would have told me that Some day, these will be the good old days All the love you won't forget And all these reckless nights you won't regret Someday soon, your whole life's gonna change You'll miss the magic of these good old days

When you get older you realise how just true this song is and how reality hits you when you listen to it! I'm 34 now and remember the good old gaming days with the boys, all those fun World of Warcraft days, the good old Sunday football days, and at one point you start to realise that you are growing apart and that everyone is starting to do their own thing until some of your friends are now living in a completely different country and you barely have any contact with them. But that is life! Enjoy the little things in life, if something makes you happy do it, do not listen to anyone tell you otherwise!

I'm 27. Lord knows I would give anything to go back to my teen years at least. Still have a lot of beloved memories. Sad that I can't relive the past, but blessed that I'm gonna be able to make new memories, tell new stories, and have new experiences. This song really put me at peace with that.

@Just Peake lol don't. Yes things change but you will meet new people who one day you'll look back and wish you could experience all over again. It's a crazy cycle. I've learned this lesson and now I try to be present everyday. Enjoy whats around you now and you'll have zero regrets in the future about how you didn't enjoy it.
