That stop loss you bought back in '93 is just 1 year younger than me. It's celebrating 30+ years of catches!

Scott I always see canine tracks around your beaver houses, how can you keep from setting them too??😮 ps. I'm about 2 hrs west of you in brainerd and we have had lots of fur and traps stolen this year 😢. Any trouble by you??

Another great video. @20:00, between the springs not through the eye of the spring. Im thinking you do this so the stick can be just between the corners of the jaws. I find it is easier than going through the spring eyes. Makes a rock solid set.

So you get how much per beaver? Have you made anything with your most previous blanket beaver catch?

Hey man, what do you have on the end of your cable's on your conibears to secure them to a branch or whatnot.

It's just an adjustment loop with an aluminum stopper

Can you add a mink set to the outside of the hole you punched in the hut with a 120 or 160 over the filled in depression (leaving a pocket so the mink thinks it's a hole to go into ) ?

I'm curious to know what the reasoning is behind the no chopping policy on the rat feed piles in some states.

Hey 330, question for you how far from a damn on a river will you find a beaver’s bank den?
@330Maniac10 ай бұрын
I've actually trapped a den around 50ft from the top of this dam a few years back

Could you make a oversized colony trap (aka a box trap) and put in a beaver run or is that illegal ? I guess the size of it to work would make it a pain to drag out (bulky) but wondered if it's been tried, ?
@mikewhitman7459 ай бұрын
Depends, illegal where I am to live trap beaver unless it's approved by the state. Pretty much everything has been tried at some point by someone.

Do beavers and muskrats actually clean the lakes instead of "destroy"? They are a part of the natural ecosystems are they not? What else would they be there for? Human pleasure to hunt for fun, "tradition" and maybe a little profit? Whose lake is it actually anyway??? DEEP THOUGHTS
@mikewhitman7459 ай бұрын
Not as deep thoughts as you think, in fact they are all very easily answered questions. You just need to look into the subject matter and gather knowledge instead of just having emotions about it.
@JonnyG09699 ай бұрын
Beaver are the only thing that can change the landscape other than Man. They can turn a little creek into a giant lake. They are truly Engineers strategically damming the water where its most efficient. Muskrats make holes in earthen dams or actually tunnels do not know exactly what they are useful for.
@JonnyG09699 ай бұрын
Also the beaver feed piles create habitat for minnows and larger fish.
