I grew up without a dad and never missed having one around, until I watched this video. How insanely blessed Brandon is to have such a father.

I love this! Brandon’s vulnerability about depression and Mac’s journey to a healthier life. So much to ingest. Btw Brandon you look so much like your dad, minus the hair.😬 praying blessings over you both 🙏🏻

For someone who wasn't raised in a spiritual, religious or church environment. I find this refreshing, eye opening and inspiring. I'm what you call a fair whether Christian I just realized. I know all the things but don't actively invest in my life, heart and look within. Thanks for this insight. God has convicted me to do more and include him more. God is using you both and our younger generation needs leaders to inspire deep worship and relationships with our Heavenly Father. Keep on listening to the Father because he can only use us if we let him in our life. Great podcast.

You two men may never understand how much seeing two men discuss life, emotions, and depression, while showing raw emotions can mean in a person's life. Especially to those of us who have never seen this from a male role model. In 2023, I was diagnosed with depression. A diagnosis I have run from my whole life because I have watched what it does to family and say that won't be me. I even doubted that depression could cause people to be the way I saw my family be. Like it's a choice to be that way and allow life to bring you so low that you could make the choices they made. Having found a deeper relationship with Christ in 2003, like actually giving into Jesus and letting go of my own wants for my life, I started to see depression and anxiety differently. It wasn't until I found myself having to get in the shower to feel something other than the weight of emotions, and this realization wasn't until 2023, that I realized I needed help. I had to deal with my problems and realized it wasn't just other people that suffered this way, and it wasn't just other people making me feel this way. Brandon I am a huge fan of yours and your worship music, the way you lead people to worship with joy and excitement while expressing that joy, and with all respect the way you look, your image God gave you is what made me stop to listen. I mean no disrespect with that statement. You and Brittany are two beautiful people inside and out. I can say that without having to know you two personally. I am so excited for this podcast and what Jesus Christ will continue to do through you men. Great job Mr.Lake! I know you are so proud of what God is doing through your son. I think I will always picture the pink elephant and purple giraffe now 😂. ❤

This really put words to the crashes I’ve been experiencing recently when I consistently have highs at work and don’t know how to level myself down for home life. Being a top sales rep, my owner of the company does a lot to hype the team up and especially our top reps. There’s always competitions, bonuses etc. It’s a lot of fun, but also exactly how you’ve been sharing like a mountain top and then going home can be like a crash if there is no leveling those emotions and experiences out. Thank you so much for sharing, Brandon.

Man…as a Father of 4 and a worship pastor this all really hit home. I listened twice back to back so I could take notes. Countless wisdom nuggets and paradigm shifts. “Adrenaline fatigue, renewing our mind with Gods truth, and fighting depression with faith AND fitness” 🤯 Thank you. Seriously…..thank. You. Both for allowing the Spirit to speak through you and to be vulnerable. I have found so much hope in this.

Return of the Mac, the return of The King. The why will drive your bud....excuse me, your what! This is so precious to me, baby steps. Simple things, discipline, habit. Our health, the planets health, the health of creation, that's what i am after and all about. You guys are asking the right questions. We never see the battle coming right? Thats why we fight it on our knees. Thank you, great spiritual, peace keeping defenders and warriors. Thank you. Amen. 🙏😇❤️

Thank you for this as we start 2024…for the honesty! There’s so much we can do…all of us, including you 2, are in different chapters of our “Life Book” (our journeys) and can still learn a lot. I hope to learn more about Mac’s fitness & diet….along with your insights & great conversations! I’m going to “stay tuned!”

Wow is all I can say! I got so much out of this. Thank you so much for doing this. Brandon I’ve been following your worship for last 4 years. You and Britney are an inspiration as well. My daughter just turned 18 (on Jan 3)graduated high school in December and just left for Army Basic Training. Before she left I took her to your Summer Concert with Phill W (who we also follow) in Chicago we are from Omaha. Best mother daughter trip ever! We will never forget it. I just want to say thank you! Thank you to your Dad as well for doing this. You two are so inspirational!
