I miss those times because I feel like this 24/7 social media world we're in now is exhausting. I think also like 2008-2013 will be remembered as the golden age for mixtape rappers who released everything on datpiff. So many of those guys now release major albums

@@MrSeshs I'd keep in mind humans always embellish their memories over time and leave out the dark sides of them: present is always the best place to be in as it is the only place we will ever be in. I can see why you'd think the world is in a much worst place than it was back then but I think the conditions for life on earth to even occur have been on a steady decline which isn't helped by the fact that our greatest minds has felt victim to the entertaining industry and is not doing anything to help themselves other than delving deeper to avoid dealing with these bigger than life issues. The solutions exist yet there are no one to handles most of them.

Mac is unique. May he rest in peace. Mac is probably slowly approaching the gates of heaven and the only song that fits that scene is BDE. That was Mac, anyone can listen to him, but only some can fully understand his lyrics. Most people wont comprehend his music at first because they just hear beats that aren't catchy to today beats and move on. For those that can fully understand him and his music, can only feel his true vibe. He was truly unique to the rap game as no one can match his vibe and his transitions into his videos, he truly is one of a kind to the ears. You were a legend before today and forever will be. Probably slowly driving to the gates of heaven with your shades on smiling and bumping to all your classics. Rest easy bud #RIP

I can't honestly say I was a fan up until a few days before he died. My buddies like "man I know you don't listen to rap or hip hop a lot but you gotta hear the new Mac Miller LP" and I've been listening to it ever since. He's always been talented I just never really was into the genre. Fucking amazing that he was writing good shit back when I was in highschool and he was still young as shit

I remember listening to this when my homies and me were smoking weed and playing basketball. Behind the court was a small playground with two swings and everytime the part at 1:58 came on I was looking at the swings just to see there's nothing. I’m hurting so much. I was just 11 years old searching on KZbin and I came across this song called “Koolaid & Frozen Pizza.” 11 year old me was like wtf lol and just clicked on it. And ever since then, I fell in love with Mac. I loved this song and started clicking on other videos. BDE was my favorite. I also remember his announcement for his first album, BSP. The video was hilarious I remember I just found him so great and humble and I wanted to meet him so bad. I was so happy when I bought tickets for his Devine feminine tour in NY. I saw him live and the concert was great! One of the greatest nights of my life. The day he passed away I was working and my boyfriend had texted me that he died. My heart shattered and I was about to cry in front of everyone. I had to put myself together because I was at work but I really just wanted to go home and cry after I found out. R.I.P Malcom ♥️ you were such a talented & great person. I’m so sad it ended this way. I just wish you were still alive 😔♥️

Mac Miller has come a long way. I love this style of music, chilled out, slow beat, and a nice melody. It all fits together, his music now is still so great. He's gone from the kicked back, happy-go-lucky, teenage dude to a really philosophical, intelligent, relate-able guy. I hope soon he releases another album like K.I.D.S. This was such a master-piece and one of my favorite Mac Miller mixtapes of all time.

Not many of you may know this, but the beat is actually from Lord Finesse - “Hip To The Game” released in 1996. I’m glad to see credit given in the description. What’s funny about this is, Lord Finesse is the type of dude you’d say was “Macking” or “being a Mack” back in the original 1996 song. Love that he was able to reuse the beat and make a masterpiece. R.I.P. Mac your spirit will live on for years to come.
