Vinny Sabatino he could have outlined a plan to his family in his will about it. So if it’s in his will, then of course his family will do what he’s asked them to. He loved music, he was talented and blessed at what he could do musically. If you loved music that much and passed away, of course you’d have a plan to release what you’ve made.

I think it's because Jon is also very sensitive and saw great potential and Mac wanted to explore criativity deeply to find his own sound like what he did on each album. If you see the artists who Jon produce the albuns you can see that they show great vulnerability and sensitivity. That's why Mac could feel free and had space to explore something different with John.

I met both Ariana Grande and Mac Miller when they came to my store. I didn't know who Mac was but I asked for a pic with Ariana and he jumped in on it. He was very nice and chill. My employee knew who he was and told me about him when they left our store. I looked him up and listened to the song Stay (the first song I ever heard from him) and knew this dude was going to be amazing. The next track I heard from him was Best Day Ever and hearing that song and watching that video brings me to tears each time. May his beautiful soul rest in peace.

“I was more excited about him than I had been in quite some time.” Hearing that just broke my heart. Mac transcended music, he was more than his music. Someone like Jon who has worked with several amazing artists, could say without hesitating, Mac was someone who who he made him the most excited than he had been in awhile. No one will be able to bill the hole Mac left.

Maybe he's just the one person I can't read... but my gut feeling is saying that it was this guy. He's the reason we don't have mac no more. He's got that psychotic devius eyes that just says.. "wouldn't it be a shame...." and he slips something in one's drink... his pauses when he says " I was more excited about him..." and "it ripped my guts to shreds" with a burst of laughter more less a weeping cry... tells me something really fucking fishy. Plus his fedora and long hair does not help my impression of him whatsoever

It honestly took me a solid year, if not a year and a half, before I could listen to his stuff and not have some sort of emotional reaction. Follower since the KIDS days, I've lived my entire adult life to the beat of Mac's drum. I graduated in 2013, got my associates degree in 2016, and I'm graduating with my bachelors degree in May '20. Every step of the way I have been listening to Mac. Through both the highs and the lows.. I always looked to his lyrics for guidance. KIDS and Best Day Ever always remind me of being in high school getting stoned with my buddies and wilding out at parties. I have vivid mental imagery of cigarettes, weed and booze every time one of those tracks come on. Watching Movies with The Sound Off reminds me of that "coming of age" feeling I felt in 2013. I had just graduated high school, started my first semester of college, finally turned 18 and could buy my own cigarettes after years of begging to pay people to get them for me (lol). I went to the Dallas show for the Space Migration Tour in June of that year after just graduating high school, and the energy in that room was unlike I could have ever imagined. Faces is a deeply intimate album in my life, as I fell deeper and deeper into a depressive state and felt lost in my life at community college at the time it came out. I remember how weird it felt to have that crazy mixtape release on Mother's Day 2014. I was one of the first people to explain the lyrics on Genius when that mixtape came out. I fucking loved it. I felt like it was my existence in the form of art/music. From the wacky beats and brutally honest depression, I took solace in the understanding that someone else felt the way I did. The last concert I ever went to was the GO:OD AM tour in 2015. We smoked a fat 3.5g blunt on the way there and it was a blast, wel...while we were there. I went with some old high school friends at the time and we ended up leaving early before the show was over because my dbag "friend" girlfriend wanted to go home. It's one of the biggest regrets I have related to Mac, honestly. We left during one of my favorite songs on that album, ROS, and that memory haunts me to this day. When the Divine Feminine released, I honestly dismissed it. I couldn't relate to it. I'd been single my entire adult life and didn't understand the romanticism present in the album. I wasn't capable of comprehending the beauty of that piece until after Mac's death. After he passed in 2018 I gave it a listen again and ended up listening to it through almost the entirety of 2019. It felt like "new" Mac to me because I didn't give it the time of day in the past. Now that I've been with my girl for almost 2 years now, I understand the beauty of it. I feel like you can't understand the Divine Feminine until you understand love and can really appreciate what all it entails. Swimming released on August 3rd, 2018. The day before my 23rd birthday. The singles Small Worlds, Programs, and Buttons had released over the summer and I was thrilled to get some new Mac. I was urgently hoping that he'd get his groove back in music after all his attention in the media. The day the album came out, I was picking up my girlfriend when the song Perfecto was playing and I remember her telling me "You're perfect." and how my heart just melted. Like Mac said in Dunno, I really felt that "I think we just might be alright, thank god." It was at this point in my life that I'd been sober off alcohol and weed for around 4 months. I had revitalized my focus on my education after convincing myself that I was going to drop out early in the year. I am almost 2 years completely sober off alcohol. I have smoked weed once since April of 2018. When Circles came out, I felt like it was a beautiful way to wrap things up. The album work was executed tastefully and respectfully. From the very beginning to end, Circles gives me a wonderfully warm feeling in my chest. Like it awakens a peace and closure I have been seeking from within since Mac left us. As a soon to be University graduate, it feels like Mac is sending me off into the future just as he did when I was a dumb 18 year-old high school graduate. Whatever comes next, I just know that his music will be a part of it. For the memories, for the peace, for the sadness, all of it. Mac has made us something for everything. A legend who'll never die.

I love the way they are going about all of this. Waiting almost two years to release the album. Good visuals on every song. This interview written out on Apple Music description of the album. Mac probably would of never thought the respect he would receive could’ve been this paramount. I commend everyone who was apart of this.

Spotify just did a look into the album circles and proved the album on repeat is a circle. You can see that at 8:29 when once a day ends and the beginning notes of circles.

Just the simple fact that we’ve been so blessed to have the opportunity to hear this music shows how selflessly and unconditionally Mac’s family and friends love him. They have so gracefully navigated through the grief of his loss, and continue to honor his passion in life by sharing pieces of his genius with the public. All I can do is just continue to appreciate Mac even more because of the caliber of human being that he associated with. This guy, REALLY loved and appreciated him, not his ability to make money, or influence culture, but just really enjoyed Mac. I’m so grateful for this album, and the simple fact that we all get to hear it. So, thanks to all of those folks that made this happen.. you can almost feel Macs lil smirk while watching this all go down. R.I.P. Mr. Miller..

Favorite memory of you was seeing you play Wonderwall on acoustic during your first tour when you stopped in Detroit. Always cherish that. Rest easy.

Sometimes I listen to circles and think about how beautiful it is and how sad it makes that we won't get anything else like. And then I occasionally come back to this interview and it never fails to make me cry, specially the closing lines "I've already set apart instruments that I intended to give him; I was more excited about him than I've been in years". That is just so heartbreaking.

Swimming in Circles is a beautiful concept that inspired the most magnificent pair of albums. I never go a day without listening to Mac. He’s got me through a lot and I know he’ll keep doing that for me. His library of music is vast and we don’t always need something new to help us get through things in life.

Fuck man, at this point with the release of Circles and interviews like this I am just overloaded with grief. It's too sad to think that Mac was capable of so much more yet we won't get to see anymore of this new side to his music. RIP a legend...
