Macrame Double Half Hitch Knot Pattern w/ Bead!

How to create a macrame pattern using double half hitch knots! I also add a bead in the middle for a fun touch, but you can always use a berry knot instead, or even just leave it blank. This pattern is great for macrame wall hangings.

5mm braided cotton cord. My ropes are each measured about 6 feet long in this tutorial.

Do you know how I could adjust the lengths if I use this with 3 or 4 mm cord? I'd like to make this pattern as the top of a plant hanger. I really like this pattern!

Cute pattern 😊 is it a good idea to glue the knots so they don't come apart? I've made some bags and have found the double hitch knots start to come loose quite quickly. I wanted to give them away as gifts but didn't want them to fall apart 😕

What kind of rope do you use? The double half hitch knot is typically pretty secure, but maybe with the use a bag gets, adding glue might be a good idea. 😊
