If you’re struggling like I was to make this hanger, look up Macrame 101: Diagonal Double Half Hitch from Gray Wonders. This video will actually teach you how to at least do the two strands!! You can also skip the very first part and use a wooden ring, and do a gathering knot at the top, splitting your cords in half and go from there. Hope this helps some people!!!

I am a beginner and trying to figure out what type of half hitch not design the is called that you're doing in the beginning. I cannot tell which direction your are tying those knots. What is the name of that design? Its a super cute hanger, I've already cut my cords but am really confused because you didn't add much description in the video. Only that it is for beginners. Thank you!

Sure wish you could zoom in a lot closer or at least add some subtitles with the directions of what and how many knots you're doing. Really love how it looks though. Hoping once I get started it will become clearer to me what I'm doing! 🤞 Sometimes I find if I take a screenshot and zoom in it can help me see it a little clearer.

Beautiful!! However very difficult to see how you start off due to the camera angle maybe? More details would be great to see how you divide the cords before you start with half hitch knots...I'm thinking it could just be done with square knots? I'll have to pause the video loads to get it right. 😁

This tutorial is not for beginners. It is very hard to see how she creates the top loop as well as how she starts the double half hitch knots because of the awkward camera angle. This pattern also creates an extremely long plant hanger which could be good or bad depending on your needs. Decent pattern but lots of leftover cord as well. I’d pass on making it again.

I appreciate your effort, but this is not a very good tutorial, especially not for beginners. When adding the reverse lark head knots, it would've been useful to write how many you added on each side at least. I cut everything out, wasted a lot of strings, and now I need to improvise, which is something a complete beginner couldn't do...

You call this helpful for beginners? I dont see how or where you see this as helpful for beginners if 1. You move to damn fast 2. You have the whole thing facing you most of the time & not at the camera at all so its hard to see what your even doing & 3. Double Half Hitch typed on the center of the screen doesnt really explain anything at all to a beginner if you ask me.
