Decently Hot Take: Indie games outshine AAA in quite literally every catergory. Games like Deep Rock Galatic, ULTRAKILL, and Satisfactory or Risk of Rain 2 are easily taken over Apex, Warzone, Valorant, any kind of game like that. I think people should branch out more and find newer tastes in games cause seriously, AAA titles has been steadily falling for some time

thats just singleplayer/coop vs competetive pvp multi and thats personal preference and you *cannot* say that aaa singleplayer games are not up to par with indie ones, because the witcher 3 exists, god of war... gta.. rdr2, uncharted, elden ring, jedi fallen order, spider man/miles morales, zelda, portal 2, so on

That crossover fighting game sounds awesome. Could have each series have a gimmick. For example, Naruto series characters can run up the walls, the Bleach characters have an additional mid-air jump, and the Dragon Ball characters can superdash. Would be interesting.

I’d think if it was in the style of FighterZ assists, Naruto characters would have projectile-based abilities, DragonBall would have more close range burst damage abilities and bleach would have heavy damage attacks that result in a knockdown (not a KO, just like the end of a combo where the opponent is put in a place where the other player can’t continue the string) Edit: That does seem super awesome, forgot to say in the original message

My hot take: teammates make apex legends worse. Without a solo mode, you are limited by your teammates and you can't play how YOU want. Player freedom and choice in how you approach the game is very important, especially with characters as diverse and movement as slick as apex, but the fact that even if you do solo queue you die almost instantly? thats just not fun.

I feel like games become less fun as soon as I really try to get good at them or try to play competitive. Like I loved apex, then one season I grinded ranked to plat 2, it was really hard, but I didn’t feel much when it was all over and the game just became less fun after that. every time I tried to just play for fun and not sweat I would get destroyed every single game. Same thing happened with valorant, I played it for like 9 months and enjoyed it a lot because of the funny crap that would happen, plus’s I would sometimes just do really well and get crazy clips. Then one season I grinded comp and got silver 2, after that every time I played it felt like I couldn’t compete without sweating super hard which I didn’t find fun to do. Every game I would just get one tapped by sweaty players in unrated. I assume all these problems probably have to do with skill based match making, but it could also be my passion for the game dying because I play it to much. I just think games are just more fun when you don’t try and just play for fun, because whenever I actually try, the game turns from a fun experience into a stressful challenge that makes me leave it in the dust.

Very hot take for me. Racing games are some of the most intense games out there. Racing around at 200+ mph and one mistake sends you off or crashes you especially in Burnout. Also Minecraft is only really good with friends gets boring playing solo.

Here's a list of Hot Takes that I have (that may or may not be great) : - Battle Passes are not bad, but only if they are well made, polished, and fair for both PTW and FTP players - FPS are overrated especially the fast faced ones - If you ignore the childish fanbase like Roblox and Fortnite, they're not that bad as people think - Deltarune is better than Undertale, gameplay wise. But both music are bangers - Megavolania is overrated - People should play more RTS games, and the people who think it's bad they're impatient or too small brain to process stuff - I don't like very saturated/over detailed design in most Asian Games

1st take is solid but the second is arctic freezing cold. However I think the support scorestreak fucked that game so much. Constant uav’s make matches so incredibly sweaty. Campaign is kinda mid, but the spec ops is a highlight among side modes. Really well made. However I don’t think the og MW2 and MW3 spec ops would never really be competitors to zombies because of their multiplayer limitations.

Horizon Forbidden West came out at the same time as Elden Ring. Of course no one played it. My hot take is that the newer Assassin's Creed games like Origins and Valhalla are good. Should they incorporate more aspects of the older games like stealth? Yes. But they're still good games.

got a few hot takes: -Minecraft is mostly carried by nostalgia and the community, for an open world game that markets itself as having endless possibilities; singleplayer survival gets really stale really quickly, for 13 years of updates there is not a lot of content, and only like, around 4 or 5 updates added to the core gameplay of the game, servers are fun but the whole multiplayer system is awful, having to pay for a third party system to play a few times with friends is very unfun. Playing the game you can tell it's a 2009 indie game with over a decade of updates jammed into it. -The multiplayer shooter genre is very underwhelming, as a core concept they're fun and interesting but nearly every single game feels like a slight variation of the game that came before it, there isn't a whole lot of room for innovation with every game that dares to try a new concept dies out due to the how genre doesn't mesh well with very many elements. Balancing in a lot of these games, looking at you overwatch, is almost non existent where the ranked and competetive players are ALWAYS complaining about how unfun the meta is. They're pretty much only fun to play with friends. Most matches feel very samey where you're either steamrolling or getting steamrolled, and as someone who hasn't been playing fps games all my life they are very unfun to get good at. The only two exceptions I can think of are titanfall 2 (too good for this world) and deep rock galactic. -Games that cost money shouldn't have dlcs, either include the dlc in the base game as post game content or flesh it out and make the dlc into its own game, it doesn't feel satisfying paying half the price of the base game for a few extra missions, free games and cosmetics get a pass. -Esports has ruined many great games, I don't see why casual players have to suffer for less than a thousand top players to not touch grass

4:56 The guy that was trying to defend valorant did not do a good job describing it. The reasons > I < play Valorant it's because it's easier to see the enemy (with the bright outlines) and faster to get into and learning the basics when compared to CSGO. To be honest CSGO has a more interesting gameplay (but i still play valorant because of the reasons mentioned before). Now, about that guy, what does he mean when he says valorant has more variety when compared to "apex legends, warzone and halo"? The only one I agree with halo, but that game isn't (or wasn't, because of Forge) as popular as the other two. Apex has more legends, more guns, more different ways to play the game (it also has bigger maps when compared to valorant, and i know valorant has more maps, but because the game genres are different this doesn't matter too much)(and apex has more customization, but who really cares about that when talking about variety in gameplay). About warzone, I'm not certain witch things it has more when compared to valo, because i do not play cod, but i'm sure it has more weapons and maps and skins etc. Again i prefer Valorant over these games, but I'd like to think i also know it's flaws, and variety is surely one of them. I don't mean to hate or make fun of this person, although i now realize that what i wrote may seem that way.

Also I believe Warzone did ruin call of duty, because since Warzone released, it's been the only thing they care about, and the main title games have been thrown under the bus, and only used as marketing for Warzone. MW2019, which was a beautifully good game, literally lost its whole identity to Warzone and became completely unplayable as a standalone game for a long time.

1:55 to be fair, games are art, and art is all subjective. Every game we consider "objectively good" or "objectively bad" is only viewed that way because it's the popular opinion. Even the "worsts" games can have fans that genuinely enjoy playing it despite their "objective" flaws and there's nothing wrong with that. Brooooo!!!!! He did mine!!!!!! For context, Alexander Kirkconnell, secondly, inwa thinking from a Destiny 2 player stand point which is what I am. He gets big yearly "dlc" that can be finished in a week if you try hard enough. The things they drop feed us are grinding objectives, and not actually playing the game for fun like right now there's a community event going on where world wide people have to gather these coins by playing objectives and playlist activities and it's just boring. There's no new activity to play to speed it up. And the most optimal imo is Dares of eternity but that's at least 10-15 minutes per run

The thing that makes Stealth games good are good Npcs. Like if you have really dumb Npcs you have a bad stealth game. I’m a very impatient person so stealth games ain’t really for me but Metal gear some how gets me hook. The Npcs are generally smart like if they see you one time and you get away then they send reinforcements and they check everything until they find you. Heck they even check your footsteps in the snow or if you are damaged and are leaking blood they can follow the trail of blood. Everyone gameplay is different in metal gear because there is so many options to handle a situation. And there is usually no one to tell you how to play a mission they give you options but you don’t have to follow. Metal gear is a solid game (pun attended). And I recommend if you are into that stuff do yourself a favor and get the game
